drugs! Never thought of that!

Been seriously considering that, but it doesn't help me the 10-15 days a month I'm out of town. I've posted before about my trials and tribulations and my uni gym (getting written up twice for "dropping" deadlifts on the rubberized Oly platforms with rubberized plates). That's another big reason why I gave up. Lack of sticktoitiveness, yeah, but I deal with enough shit every day, and the gym is supposed to be a release.

It's been a good year. Maintained my 6-day a week regimen of yoga and gym training, and remained injury-free all year long. Made good gains resulting in a lot of compliments on my physique, even from strangers. Really happy about this.

Modified my diet by reducing most processed foods and sugar, but it's still a work in progress. In fact, I decided this week to adopt a more plant based diet and eliminate most, if not all, meat. I'll see how this goes in the new year.

Happy New Year!!!

I'm looking into new routines to start up next week. I did the typical Starting Strength route and have developed a decent base strength (about to hit 225 for my 5x5 set) and want to find something with a similar time commitment that's a bit more aesthetics based. Part of the reason I started lifting was because my lower body always seemed larger than my upper so I want something with more upper body emphasis than SS. I definitely enjoy trying to continuously go up in numbers and want to keep doing the compound lifts. For a bit this summer I did SS with a lot of accessory work but I was spending way too long at the gym and couldn't do that during college. Any suggestions on routines? I've been looking into PHUL and the All Pro routine as of now

I just switched to a 4 day split... I do chest/back/arms one day and shoulders/legs the other twice a week. Very simple routine. CAB day is bench, weighted chins and then a tricep push down/curls superset. Shoulder/legs day I do a heavy set of either squats or military press and then do a range of other moves. Pretty short.... 40 minutes a workout. And I feel it's pretty effective, well so far anyway.

Mixed year for me.

I got stronger (+50 lbs 1RM squat, +25 lbs bench, +90 lbs deadlift) while staying roughly same bodyweight. First gained 10 pounds then decided to lose them again by a somewhat unnecessary cut as I'm now the same bf as before the cut but weigh 5 pounds less.

Have had problems with my low back since the summer and 2014's patellar tendinitis came back during the fall. After the meet in november I decided it wasn't sustainable to train through aches and pain and risk long term health, so atm I train less (3x a week instead of 5), prehab and basically hope it goes away. Not really working so far. X-ray scheduled for first week in January. Think I'm gonna spend a large part of next year trying to fix and train around the injuries.

Ended my dry spell (woo 2 nights back to back!) since starting grad school and it was accompanied by my tweaking my back. Now I'm hobbling everywhere.

Getting old sucks. Holy fucking hell.

Thankfully not, but apparently I'm a delicate flower.

Is the USA really that bad where it's possible to try to get laid and fail for really long times?

Didn't have time to try and I didn't want to hook up with people in my ~125 person class because drama sucks.
