So I just wanted to check if you guys are aware of a better way to cut than my current approach? I am only planning on doing this for the next week or so then getting back into low carb high protein diet and getting back to the gym hard.

Intermittent fasting + lifting + PSMF + ECY = $500

I started bulking after my summer beach vacations. It was a mix between calculated macros with slow increase in carbs and "OMG THEY SELL ICECREAM!". I would want to perhaps read that paper, but at this time there's a pile of about 30 papers on my desk that I have to absorb, or such is the opinion of my advisor.

Ephedrine Caffeine Yohimbine

Basically eating nothing but lean protein and greens, hating life, and feeling like your heart will explode. But you'll drop bf like no one's business.

Pretty much what he said. It's ridiculous for fat loss but you're probably going to have a rough time if you've never done any type of contest prep or extreme dieting before. Not meant for extended dieting, do 4 day cycles with a large carb refeed on the 5th preferably following a leg or back workout.

 

I wouldn't take the yohimbine before lifting, only before low-intensity steady state cardio; the blood pressure issues while bracing are real.

 

If you're already lean and close to looking like a human anatomy poster (8% ish) you can try a topical fat burner like Vasoburn. It dries out the area and noticeably accelerates local sub-q fat loss

Do you recommend lifting while doing this, or just on the 5th day?

 

This is my first go at this, but I have done similar cycle just never this intense.

No way I'm doing shit like PSMF. Just a good old cut through the spring and I should be skraight. @MGoCrimson where is the fat loss muscle gain paper?

Yes, continue lifting but you may need to cut back on volume.

 

I'm going to assume you're at least under 15% BF so your protein intake will be 2g / lb of lean body mass with as low of fat and carbs as possible for 4 days, then a large carb (5g-6g CHO / lb LBM) and relatively low fat refeed every 5th day. I liked keeping my refeed under 45g fat. You can also go 10-12 days on the PSMF and then refeed for 2-3 days, starting at 6g/lb tapering to 1.5g/lb, and return to a more normal diet for a week before restarting.

 

With 4.5? weeks until the party I'd do 12 days PSMF, 2 day refeed, Take a break for a week and eat normally at maintenance, then go back on PSMF until the party. If you're somewhere warm right now, get a tan. 

 

I'm a big proponent of 16-18 hour fasting 6-8 hour feeding windows — allows you to get in 3 doses of ECY while fasted. The ECY will likely fully suppress your appetite.

 

Be cautious with the ECY dosing. Start with 12.5mg E, 200mg caffeine 2x per day 4 hours apart. Then 3x, then move to 25mg E per dose if you tolerate it well and don't have uncomfortable HR, high BP, and trouble sleeping.

 

Then add in Y @ 2mg first thing in the morning pre-cardio, then dose 2-3x as tolerated. I don't use more than ~6mg Y @ 205 lbs or ~ .06mg/kg while using EC and I tolerate EC and Y very well. Y+C I have dosed up to 18 mg ~.19mg/kg and 400mg C. Measure your resting HR and BP before you use EC or ECY, again 40 min after dosing, and monitor HR during activity. 

 

 

PSMF sucks but when contest prep is behind a quick 14 day cycle puts thing back on track. 

 

 

@Cool The Kid Everywhere. LBM isn't always muscle gain, but literally hundreds of RCTs show increased LBM and decreased ATM from a variety of dietary and exercise interventions.
