+1 on the 3 day split with cardio. I have been biking 3 days a week and lifting 5 days a week. When I get back from Peru I'm squishing all my lifting into 3 days a week, and I'm gonna do more biking.

I think you mean @hendrix who had ab pain and they mis diagnosed it only to catch it as appendicitis a few months later iirc

I think I need to apply for funding to get my own refrigerator. the department kitchen is so gross it is bordering on unsanitary.

Speaking of fridges, MIL threw us a free chest freezer. I got a Blendtec too. Gonna make and freeze a shit ton of smoothies and bags of dark chicken and turkey meat. Cook all my shit once a month or so

One of my first planned purchases once we purchase our first home is a chest freezer.  Cannot fit my bulk meat purchases in freezer along with all the wife's stuff in our traditional fridge.

However, I'm starting to realize that after spending years focused on compound lifting and leveling up my big 3, I think those days are behind me. Moving as much weight as possible has always been really taxing on my joints and CNS, and I find I'm much happier and motivated to go to the gym and not do balls to the walls heavy lifts.

I'm content with my physique and only looking to slowly add some muscle with a low volume and moderate frequency plan that allows me to employ other stuff that is good for my body on off days - specifically cardiovascular and mobility work.

I have a heightened peace of mind, fit better in clothes and feel healthier overall this way.

For what it's worth, my best lifts were 265B/315S/405DL @ 170

Sure, I understand if you do not want to train like that anymore. Your total was quite good though.

Anyway, with 3 days per week, I still think you are best off with a full body program. Unfortunately there aren't many full body programs available online that do not cater towards powerlifting, so I can't point you in any specific direction.

The treat for today was chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing. I was tempted.

LOL that sounds so much like my office... Someone always brings something... The first year I started working there I got FAT... seriously... I saw myself in a picture one day and totally flipped out... day by day you don't notice some changes... I kept working out of course but eating two or three muffins or two or three doughnuts everyday made me get huge... I was really busting out of my clothes (not in a good way haha)... thank goodness I put a stop to that. I still eat those things but from time to time...

Amazing runner's high today. Came home swamp assed and drenched in sweat but was not annoyed at all. I feel fantastic and full of confidence in my self. Everything feels so calm right now, it's great. Have a goodnight everyone.

Nah just had an internship at an asset management firm which was quite intense so wasn't lifting and now recruiting season for investment banks, strategy consulting, hedgefunds and private equity has begun so I'm interviewing at a lot of places and applying, which takes up a huge amount of time. Writing 3-4 little essays to each bank with questions like "what are the current risks facing the investment banking industry and how can deutsche bank capitalise on these risks" . Interviewing at my top choice firm tomorrow. Lifting will resume again soon.
