You will lose muscle mass and strength going that low. Also no purpose in excluding food id you know what you're doing and are not gonna step on a stage.

I want to lose weight, and not gain muscle, I do cardio excercise.

use this to calculate your maintenance. I don't know if it's possible to lose weight without gaining muscle when you're that skinny.

Yeah... drastic cutting doesn't sound too appealing, lol. I'll probably just focus on getting some more sun beforehand since I'm pretty happy with how I look.

This was 5 weeks ago, vacation in Italy in full give-no-fucks mode with pasta and gelato 3x/day:

This is today:

Doesn't really count since this was immediately after an upper workout, but I'm feeling pretty good where I am. Probably about 75% compliance to a deficit across the last 5 weeks. Currently 177lb, going to continue dropping weight until Thanksgiving and see how low I can go.

I've always wanted to learn CQC and Silat. But there aren't any legit places around here that offer classes. Did you guys do tons of knife training? We used to train with shock knives.

Where do you live? A lot of places have "stickfighting" which is just an analogue for stick/knife martial arts. Most will have you practice with both, but even if they just do rattan it's nearly the same as knife fighting in terms of the principals (just some strikes becomes slashes, etc). The concepts are very similar and transferable.

I live in the bay area. I use to practice Krav Maga, kick boxing, and eskrima. My favorite was sparing in eskrima. My teacher had this corny joke what is eskrima? You get hit with a stick and you scream-a. Loz i kinda want do some old school silat training like in some dudes' backyard where there's only a handful of us because I'm kind of anti social at times. Do you compete in tournaments?

Thinking out loud here:

I'm not sure what the normal rate of trans people in society is, but I wonder whether the use of exogenous steroids has an influence on gender via epigenetic imprinting. Purely anecdotal, of course, but I first considered this when thinking about Caitlyn Jenner; she was an olympic athlete at a time when they all juiced.

It's pretty well documented that homosexuality is probably at least partially due to epigenetic influence in the womb. I wonder whether gender identity could be influenced later on in life?

Mma is no joke. I think those athletes are the fittest of them all. Are you getting injuries all the time? When you practice grappling do you guys ever practice in gis?
