A bit leaner if I remember your last pic correctly.

Look pretty much like my current physique. What bf % would you estimate you are?

Though @Eason will rightly say that there wasn't much to lose. So much for starting med school looking decent...

Is that with or without rent? That's 5 months dude... Even if you spend like 10k on rent, you're going to have 7k over 5 months which is not terrible for a student. Have you considered learning to live like one?

Back up to 170 :/. Still have visible abs but looking a bit softer. Summer's halfway over so i'm not gonna bother cutting. I guess i'll just focus on getting my leg strength/running endurance back up. I also keep saying I"m gonna start doing yoga again but I never seem to get around to it.

That includes everything - rent, travel, food, utilities, phone bill, etc... I'm not looking forward to being poor again. To be honest my main concern is having money to travel while in school, as I know a lot of people do that and I don't want to miss out.

@GraphicNovelty

I know that feel. I want to do a cut-ish, but it'll be over in like september which is like... why bother. Just going to try getting diet and exercise routine back on track once school starts and just build up again.

le sigh.

Should have saved up before school started (you were working right?) or maybe be okay with moving a bit out of manhattan. It's doable.

And yeah, I have the same concern re:travel. The place I got is more expensive than I want it to be. I'll move into a cheaper spot next year to save.

Did you get an apartment yet? Is your lady friend moving out with you or not?

Beyond rent living in NYC can be surprisingly cheap. No car for starters. Just have to be careful with food and not go out too much. $1400/mo.... like $400 of that will go to bills and your metro card; IDK what your medical insurance situation is but there's that... other than that what else is there? $800 or so a month is a good amount for 1 person.

I spent my savings on the application process. I only have a moderate amount of savings left. No apartment yet, roommate is heading up next week to apartment hunt and will Skype with us from apts so we can check them out without flying out. I'm living close to NYU my first year at the very least, girlfriend will prob come out April if the relationship survives, and we'll likely move out to Brooklyn or Queens then.

Not going out too much will be challenging I think. I'll be on Obamacare so that won't be an issue as I'll get APTC. We'll see how it works I suppose.

East Village isn't most expensive, which is likely where I'll end up. I suppose I'm complaining that they don't give me more debt.

NYU's more west village. if you're looking in the EV/LES then sure.

Still gonna be paying too much for rent given your budget.

I believe I can make an appeal to get more loans if that's the case, I just wish they gave me more money up front.

finally on vacation.. but in time-honored academic tradtion I now have two grant applications to draft with my asshole colleagues who pushed me into this research project. Also would have some reading to do, but I think I'll just train (for once, since I now have time) and do just fuck-all with these apps. Probably also drink a lot and play video games.

Why would u take on more loans...... Harlem is pretty much safe now and is like 20-30 minutes from NYU on the A train. Food, gyms and going out is cheaper up there as well.
