What would you guys make if you had to pack your own lunch? Deli meat probably not good to eat everyday. Was thinking beef jerky or canned fish.

You can also have fish (maybe salmon or something) for dinner then make fresh salad like tuna salad with the leftovers. I usually add some diced onion, green pepper, cilantro, a little light mayo and relish and some spices. Throw it in a pita with some thinly sliced cucumber, carrot and tomato… delicious and healthy.

I prefer using pita as 1) there's a kosher market nearby that has the best damn fresh pita and it's ridiculously cheap and 2) you can really stuff it to maximize the protein and veggies while reducing the ratio to carbs/bread.

Nah those are 1RMs. I'm thinking about doing a meet. Might take a break for BBing for a bit while my schedule blows during residency.

I have been making my lunches for years. Grilling marinaded chicken thighs over coal right now. I mix it up with frozen mixed veggies at work. Great meal. Very filling, macro friendly.

Sardines are cheap, good protein, and portable. Easy snack/lunch

This reminds me I've been noshing the shit out of these white anchovies they have at SaMo seafood. Not sure how they compare price-wise to sardines (I think $12/lb.), but yeah those are tasty as hell and good protein.

Brb almost getting into a fight with someone at the gym.

Warming up on bench. A guy, quite aggravated, tells me to rack the weight softly. The sound of the bar racking on metal hurt his ears.

Me: dude, it's a gym. There's going to be noise.
Him: you've been told before! About deadlifting! But you don't listen
Me: I try to put the weights down as controlled as I can
Him: no! No you don't care!
Me: *puts headphones back on, because in my mind this man is stealing my gains*

(5 minutes later, trainer comes with guy)
Trainer: hi there, could you please try to put the weights back softly?
Me: yes I try, but please tell me how I can put the weights back quieter than this? *i do a rep and rack it*
Guy: you were doing it louder before!
Me: no I wasn't
Guy: this guy comes to the gym, I was here for a long time before him! Then he comes next to me and makes a loud noise and bothers me!
Me: it has nothing to do with who was here first, this is a gym. People lift weights and make noise. Wear headphones.
Guy: you think that because you're white, you can do whatever you want?
Me: what... The fuck?
*trainer gives me the "oh. Welp he's crazy look*
Trainer: "can you try to do it quieter, please? (Now there is a crowd)
Guy: you were a trainer before, right? But you don't know how to rack a weight! You need me to show you?
Me: ok. Show me. Do a rep and show me how to rack it.
Guy:.... No!
Me: you asked if I wanted you to show me. Show me, please.
Guy: ... No! You're a trainer, you should know.
Me: ok please tell me if this is ok *i do a rep*
Trainer: that's ok.
Me: ok so this is fine?
Guy: ...ok.
Me: ok thank you. *goes back to workout*



edit: I should mention that this fucking scum left his weights all over the gym on the bars

Chicken salad made with greek yogurt is god tier macros. Put it on whatever and you can eat it cold.

Top round for lean pulled beef. The texture is kind of odd at first but I've eaten so much of it that i've gotten used to it.
