There is a decent commercial gym with barbells, racks, etc 20 min walk from the office, which I might consider instead. I just hate deadlifting with one of those bars with clean slippy knurling that has no chalk in it and to bench with those narrow gym benches. Lifting at a PL club has spoiled me by only training with eleiko bars and competition power racks. It makes a lot of difference for the performance though.

Most likely gonna decrease to 4 sessions a week instead of 5, or the only thing I'll do will be working and lifting.

Get an open membership to a cf box, they have full eleiko.

My current gym is a 2 min walk from my apartment and we are currently looking at a new office with a gym a couple floors down.

my gym is a 10 minute walk from the apartment. It's a planet fitness but i can't do shit so it's fine.

Squatting one-armed using the smith is taking some getting used to but it feels good to get the motions again. Focusing on form, keeping it relatively light (~110ish for 12) and going all the way down and up. Up to 2 miles running too.

Crossfit gyms don't have competition power racks for bench pressing and the one's in the city I'm going to are not open for free lifting every night.

Looking at the alternatives again, I'm only wasting 15-20 min more in transit going to the PL gym so I might as well just do that and be happy with the training environment.

Edit: looked up the prices for a membership at these fancy Crossfit clubs. 150 USD a month. lol.

Once you train with the exact same combo racks, bars, and plates they use on the platform, going back to anything else sucks flacid donkey penis

There is a crossfit gym several blocks from my house, certainly within walking distance. I've been tempted to check it out as it's closer than either of the two gyms I frequent - one gym is about a 5-7 minute drive and the other, the one I like better, takes about 15 minutes to drive there. Kinda like my current training routine as well as the gyms too much to seriously consider something else though. May look into it if I get bored with what I do now.

There's nothing wrong with crossfit gyms, in a lot of ways they are superior (endless barbells and racks, for one). However I have NEVER seen a crossfit gym that didn't have an absurd monthly price and there "open" hours always suck. If you had your own and key and the price was decent they would be awesome.

Diddy arrested for assaulting a football coach with a kettlebell, so even he's been swept up in the CrossFit craze.

Started a timed carb diet today. Felt weird consuming so many simple carbs around lifting. Probably not unrelated, but I crashed out on my bed a few hours after.

I wish I had been up there today… will be tomorrow, but he's probably banned from coming to practices now. Hilarious though.

Lol, I was 99% certain it was Stockholm based on the price alone. I was close to moving to sthlm 3-4 years ago, I remember looking up gyms and laughing at the prices.

I don't know why they are so expensive there, the ones in Copenhagen cost $30 for open and $80 for classes (50% of for students) and most are open from 6:30am till 11pm 5 days a week and 8am till 6pm on the weekend, which is pretty much the same as a normal gym.

I don't get why people in Stockholm love bootcamp training so much either.

He didn't get Shyne to hold it for him afterwards?

This shit is a waste of your time.
Fit shit into your macros, eat as healthily as you can.

Ignore the anti-science articles on T-nation. Complex carbs are good. Vegetables are good. Fruit is good. We know this shit; there's insurmountable evidence for it.

Buying dextrose/eating pop tarts or whatever is not good (unless you need the calories and have no other healthy option).
