Today, bench PR 305x1! It was a grind to get up but did 295x1 really easy so fuck it, add 10 lbs. to the bar and BAM! 15 lbs. to catch up to my old PR. :D

The sideways splits have been progressing, too. I'm almost there! I've been adding those to my stretching routines to stretch out my adductors for sumo. I heard the split is the best stretch for those.

I'm so here's my chin up bar + rings to fuck around with.
The steel bar halfway up the wall to the right is where the dip bars go but I have to drill some more holes into the bars to fit it in.

Yup.

I'm moving in a month and that's one the most emotional things about leaving town.

On another note, got an internship that might lead to a full term position at a marketing data company, so first career move post graduation worked out better than expected.

The bad thing about moving there is I'll spend about 2 hours a day in public transit. The PL club is 40 mins away by metro from my place. A normal day I expect to leave home before 8 and be back at 9-10. Just thinking of it makes me crazy. Too accustomed to living in student town.

I want rings so bad. Thats one of the biggies I can't have, especially how I want it. I have been doing OK with just chinups though. Now I'm enough of an un-fatass that I can do weighted chins again so that's my main back move now.

@ctk the rings are just good for versatility. I only have 1 barbell so it means I can do inverted rows or ring flys or whatever if I'm super setting. 90% of what I do on them is just messing around, but now that I don't have a full rack with a multi grip chin bar I'm probably going to be using the rings up high like that photo a lot more so that I don't hurt my delicate wrists.

Not to be a downer but make sure u get renters insurance. Lot of childhood friends lost their homes in Sandy.

Living on the beach is the shit though. NYC is not bad if you can live and work outside the radius where the subway works.

I grew up in Rockaway : ) don't gotta tell me. Luckily we lived in an apartment when Sandy hit, still lost two cars and a motorcycle, and had to stay with family for 3 months while they got elevators, electricity and water back. Could have been a lot worse.

But yeah, I moved out from home and have been in Willyburg for the past year or so, but I miss the beach, you can't beat it, and especially now that it's on the come up and theres an awesome scene, i'm going back.

The A train is kind of a bitch, and commuting into the city is going to suck, but I did it for most of my life, and like you said it's so nice to have a space of your own outside the confines of the city.

I'm half bailing on Eason, but I think we're going to grab dinner tonight. Sorry about the pool party brah.

At the airport getting ready to head to Bangkok for a hot minute then heading to Vietnam either tomorrow or weds morning. Need more than 2 weeks for Vietnam otherwise I'm not going to make it down the full coast.

A girl I met in myanmar just got Dengue. Apparently there's an outbreak. Thank god I've been religious about bug spray. That shit sucks.

This sounds horrible, and is the reason I just picked the closest possible gym when I moved. Guess a PL club is needed for you though.
