4x15, 4x12, 4x10, 4x8 ....
I have done the 100kg x 100 reps in 1 "set", as in never racking the bar, took like 14 mins though haha
Who else is in Boston? How's your back doing?
I'm strongly considering buying a one-way ticket into Mexico in early spring/late winter, meeting up with this girl I met in Hawaii for a couple weeks, and then slowly traveling Central and South America. Biggest open question is how do I maintain an exercise regimen while doing that... I guess get creative?
I'm pretty sure you will literally die around 210 reps.
Uhhhhh, I hope she doesn't have AIDS.
When I travel and know I will not have access/time for a gym, I just bring a set of bands. You can do a lot of stuff with those.
Also, you can get along with these bodyweight movements pretty fine and you can do them almost everywhere:
- Dips (between chairs)
- Pistol squats
and with the bands you can add:
- tricep extensions
- good mornings
Did my third meet of the year today, RAW United - Winter Classic. Weighed in at 227, so I competed in the 242 weight class. Totaled 1300, RAW belt only.

- 2nd: 430 - Good lift (5 lb PR)
- 3rd: 455 - Good lift (30 lb PR)
- Opener: 270 - Good lift
- 2nd: 290 - Miss
- 3rd: 290 - Miss
- Opener: 530 - Good lift
- 2nd: 560 - Good lift
- 3rd: 575 - Good lift (10 lb PR)
Overall I hit the total I was going for. Previous total was 1275 at a meet back in August, so a 25 lb increase was pretty good. Really wanted to do better on bench though, but I'm tall (6'3") so that's always my weak point. I hit 315 in the gym touch and go. Got both 290 attempts about halfway but couldn't lock out. That will be a focus in 2015 for me. Switched to low bar squats about a month ago and have really liked them. I've been running a modified 5/3/1 BBB and have continued to make progress on that. I've looked into some other programs like Shieko or Canditos, but still not sure about the volume on those. Videos to come if I can figure it out.
