Random health and exercise thoughts - Page 3276

My left knee is continuing to give me problems even after I dropped Sheiko a couple weeks ago and have not squat for a week's time.  When I go from knee flexion to tension, there is a "popping" noise, definitely more noticeable when coming out of a deep squat (even just bodyweight).  It is not necessarily painful but definitely bothersome.  The lack of pain leads me to think it is not tendonitis.  Any recommended stretches?

Lolz, what was that dumb shit saying?

Hah, didn't know that was confusing!

And yeah, I essentially stay in the 'squat' position the entire time. I can't see how they're different than doing db squats or lunges.

I'll see how I feel in the morning, but they might be worth adding. I think it's easy to maintain an entirely neutral spine the entire way through. I think you can do a squat vs a deadlift depending on how you set up the lift.

Squatted for the first time since the injury today. Mostly high rep low weight stuff. Got up to 225. My hamstrings or adductors were actually aching really bad by the time I was done haha. DYEL reaction to not doing legs in weeks.

Solid gains coming now that I've figured out how to easily get 250g protein/day. Just shit tons of meat and protein shakes. Also was having trouble getting cals in because I skip breakfast, discovered cookie dough. Ate 1000 cals like it was nothing, shit is magic. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

My favorite was "squats and deadlifts are really good for you, but they're also dangerous, so I don't go heavy."

Some crap about not going too deep.

Talks about keeping your back straight then demonstrates extreme hyperextension.

Talks about not leaning over too far.

Stats people - I have to do a project for this (basic) stats class. I am supposed to use minivan but cannot download it because I don't have a current enough OS for my Mac and can't afford to buy it.
Are there any other programs with free SK's that will give me easy read outs for data that can be cut & pasted into word?

I asked my professor and he said "buy new OS". My other option is excel which seems like it would be a bitch.

I probably will when I go home for the holidays if the issues continue.  Will smash vastus medialis and lateralis to see if those are tight and causing the problem.

*my* popping knee does not hurt ever.

It may have just been the day that is was overly bothersome.  Or grow a pair and get over the mental barrier.

Thanks.
Is it just called "R"?
And is it pretty straight forward? This is basic stat. Conf intervals, p-values etc comparing two data sets of 40 (80 total).

I'm also trying to figure out a simple way to use training as data.
I just need any two data sets I can compare and was thinking of comparing people's bb bench to DB bench. Or comparing 10RM to 2RM's, but not sure if they are suitable enough for "direct comparison". The examples of data sets given were comparing male and female tips In a resturant or comparing nbee of ingredients between two cultural cuisines.
I have 5 weeks to do it but just want to get it done asap and chill over Christmas.
