I've taken a bandana from the gym, but it was sitting there for like a week before i grabbed it, threw it in my laundry bag, etc.

I sort of had a cold so I didn't think much of it, but I did wonder if it was some kind of back issue. Fast forward to today, back in the gym for the first time in forever, squat day. I'll admit I didn't warm up enough. My warm up sets were okay. So went to do my first work set and felt okay throughout the set, then I rack the bar and get a pain in my back sometimes like how it feels after deadlifting, just a dull pain almost like a muscle ache.

It's now 20 minutes later and it hurts to walk or sit down. Never hurt my back this bad before. It almost feels like it's in the muscles, but also like I need to crack my back really bad. Not sure what to do about this. Was thinking chiropractor or deep tissue massage. Suggestions?

Damn, bro, sorry to hear about your back injuries. I've been nursing this back pain for 1.5 month now. Just don't do what I did as in I've reinjured it a few times by not giving it enough time to heal and being too hyped up to do deadlifts. I would give it at least a month to heal. It's been almost 2 weeks since I've decided not to do any lower back work out. It feels fine but I think our bodies has a tendency to trick ourselves "there's no pain" to help with the healing process. Shit, I might even give it another 3 weeks just to make sure it heals 150%. Anyhow, heal up well.

It's actually already feeling much better. Still definitely fucked up but I think I just tweaked it a bit. Day or two of ice, couple days on the heat pad, a chiropractor and deep tissue and I should be good to go.

I've started icing and heating alternately with 10 to 20 min. each and it has helped a lot! The first day I tried that the pain went down from a 7 to a 4.

I've already applied to get my MS in Marketing with a focus on Marketing research and should get in but that doesn't start till next year.

Hope it turns out well for you.

I completed my bachelors in Strategic Management last spring but actually decided to go down the route of Marketing Research instead for my masters. Studying it right now and am really enjoying it. Think I'm gonna round off the degree with some extra courses in social psychology (marketing psychology) and anthropology research.

wtf is market research. Doing a course in it, but haven't been. It counts as a statistics course, but if it doesn't involve brownian motion its not stats.

Id like to get my master in marketing eventually.

@fuji

Marketing Research is basically research on how consumers use stuff, why they use it, how they like it, etc to get feedback and come up with new stuff. The research can be done statistically with surveys and stuff but imo the really interesting stuff is done with field/observation research.
