Doesn't mean much. There's a kid at my gym about my height and weight whose max squat is double mine. We wear the same pant size (altho he fills them out much better than I do)

@fuji i would go down the private equity, venture capital, asset management route, if I was you, if I had known about that when I was at business school I would have stuck at it and gone that way.

unless you get 300lbs out of your wraps

I've never claimed a 500lb squat? I deadlifted 500lb, I have a vid pulling 455 up on YouTube back when I was 175 I can link you. Again I have marfans disorder, I will never put on that much muscle tissue, it fucks up my tissue structure, makes it all stringy and shit or something. Welcome back <3 iluvu.

Would prefer if you'd edit out my full name. No real reason to have it on a public forum.

Yeah PE is the end goal but it would be hard to go into after undergrad or even a msc. Need a few years in banking. What did you go into after b school?

Something entirely different, I work in furniture branding and with property development.

I'm already in PE and I'm worried about my post-MBA job prospects.

Haha my mum sent me the top article asking why I was going into IBD. Maybe if I get a nice quantitative masters some HF will think I'm smart as fuck.

No I'm paid shit right now. Trading that off for getting my foot in the door and the incredible flexibility I have. Asking for a substantial raise after my boss writes my b-school LOR's. I'd like to get into a large fund after school but the odds are slim. However, I know someone at Blackstone and another person on the investor side that probably has a shit ton of contacts at mega funds so we'll see.

I've explained my issues a while ago. Basically they're this:
1. Laziness/business getting in the way of getting to the gym consistently.
2. A lack of understanding on how to diet properly.
3. A lack of willingness to diet properly.
4. A couple minor injuries.

I'm pretty on point now, for the most part, finally. I don't think I'm much smaller than you, though.

14 inch arms is silly! I was like that when I wasn't lifting. I'm at about 15 now just about. I was almost 16 when I used to lift earlier. Hoping to get there in the next couple of months. I've just started looking like I 'lift'.

My upper body is decent, but I have a messed up right shoulder (started adding shoulder prehab multiple workouts a week!) and 2 back surgeries means that I'll never put on leg/back mass like I used to. Taking the long road here and it'll all work out.

Glad to hear you're back on track. Looking forward to seeing you progress!

Edit: Oh and I'm 5'10 and like 165ish right now? Carrying more fat on me than usual. I don't feel like cutting right now. Hoping things will get big enough that I'll be able to see some proper delt/bi separation in the next 3 months. That's the goal!

i.e. this week I did 2 chest/back superset days. What if I'd split the second day into 2 sessions and done one 5x10 exercise for chest and shoulder on each of those days instead of two 5x10 in one session?

Just trying to play with splits a bit to bulk a bit.

Legs and back I'm going to do 1-2x a week as I see fit. They definitely need more attention than that, especially legs, but I'd rather take it on the easier side and grow a bit more slowly so as to ward off low back re-injury. Back has been feeling awesome so far though. Psyched.

I miss doing squats still though. I just feel that I grew like mad all over when I was doing squats, bent over bb rows, and leg presses.

Bueller?

Two supersets of 5x10 isn't much in one session, imo.

There's a certain threshold of volume for a given muscle that you have to reach within a session to stimulate the growth for that muscle. I have no idea how much volume that is, but my guess is that 5 sets of 10 is not enough, because I've never heard of anyone training with such low volume.

Ah, I see. Well you just seem bigger in general than me then, regardless of lifting. My arms were like 12-12.5" when I started. I'm also smaller than you so I have shorter arms, so I'm sure 14 inch biceps look better on me than they do you (at least I sure hope so).

Here's some pics from earlier today. Not nearly as big as I was hoping I'd be at this point, nor lean. Going to FL beginning of Sept so I'm cutting until then. Will probably start bulking in October. With my bulking diet finally on point hopefully I'll put on a lot more mass this time around, and stay leaner.

(sorry for cock bulge)
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I should put up a photo for hilarity

I think our arm size is the same

Maybe I'll put up some nudes. Been feeling really bloated lately and not having good bowel movements (I've gone almost 3 days at times). Is this serious? Anyone have ideas? I eat bananas and drink enough water.
