Random health and exercise thoughts - Page 314

For the past 2 weeks I have had this exact same lunch every business day:

- PBJ on whole grain (80% PB, 20% J)
- 1.5 Servings of Wheat Thins
- 1 Serving of Peaut Butter Pretzels (favorite )
- Snackwell Creme Sandwich cookie pack
- Tall glass from the water cooler

I'm eating right now, and oddly enough, I am still enjoying this despite the redundancy. I'll give it another week then switch over to turrrkerrr sammiches.

Doctor told me I shouldn't lift weights over 60kg because its bad for my heart and that I should go for walks or swim to improve fitness instead. Bitch can fuck off.

^ Be sure to eat more whole grain cereal for breakfast and cut down on your egg intake.

Yeah, it aint that great a meal...

trying to up my carb intake as well.

Theres no protein in that meal... Peanut butter doesnt count... at all...

Portion control dieting with suspect "foods" is...faulty. They generally beat the piss out of your metabolism and make you prone to binge eating once you realize you can't take eating like a bird forever.

ST doesn't look like he needs to worry about weight gain, but that's certainly not a meal I could eat too regularly and not get soft from.

I love my Gold Standard whey, coffee flavor is the best. Why don't you just order online, much cheaper.

Hella carbs and salt, but no lean protein.

Agreed

On another note, I got rid off my arm days. Instead I am just going to do a bit of arms on my chest and back days. This way, I get to work out bigger muscle groups more often.

There was another model. I think it was blue. The site looked different too. +1 on the Optimum. I use their Natural Vanilla and mix it into all my food. I don't care for all the artificial sweetners and preservatives of the regular variety. Does TrueProtein carry anything all-natural?

The moral of the story is basically that GPs are rarely qualified to give exercise-related advice.

About 2-3 weeks on Leangains schedule, along with some ab vacuum/transverse abdominal exercises, seems to be having a positive effect. Not following the leangains macros 100%, but in general trying to get more starchy carbs post workout and lower carb on non-workout days. Abs are looking a bit more defined and the belly has gotten trimmer. I'm sure an actual cut or UD2.0 schedule may be more faster & effective, but Leangains fits my work/life schedule pretty well.
