You should def enter one.

Just make sure you know all the rules and practice the lifts with all the commands in advance. I know one guy who missed small details and got disqualified on his first meet.

Anyway, I'm just giving you a hard time because I thought it was hilarious that frenchie called you out on his blog after you were trying to be anonymous. I'll knock it off lol.

Well, to be fair, the way I asked him those questions on his blog isn't exactly me trying to be anonymous. I thought it was funny that he was able to pick up my subtle hints and suspect it was me. :D He has good intuition. Maybe that's why plus having knowledge he is able to pull shit tons of grails.

This is the best bench tutorial I've come across, from an IPF world record holder:

Can you even get cut on T4? Surely you can't put your thyroid up to ridiculous levels with it like you can with T3 because your body only uses what it needs?

Nice tutorial... buttttt... that part around 6:45 saying that you can "manipulate the concept by having a greater mass on the bench.. by deliver force into the floor with your feet"

black and red romaleo's on sale for 149

on that note, if i wanted a nicer pair of shoes in the future, how2pick between adipowers or romaleos? no way to try them on, sizing i wouldnt be worried about, but i suppose i'd have to suck up return fees to see what i liked best. white adipowers win on aesthetics and i like my adidas stuff but my frees are still the most comfortable shoes i have.

I always notice how you have excellent elbow external rotation, and that vid reminded me of it. Yours may just be more prominent since you wear elbow sleeves.

Was feeling tired so skipped on squats and press. Pulled a PR thou. 315 x 5 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 3 x 1. As a reward for the PR, did 5 sets of 10 pull ups.

Now, I have something to show for. :)

Barrel gettin swole

Well, I've gotten stronger on my squats and DLs but bench, military press, and maybe even back have decreased. I've actually lost my 44 inch chest. I'm back down to a 43. I cut from 182 to 168. That's pretty funny because I've been eating more junk food and drinking more beer. :fonz: I don't really care though as long I'm improving on my posterior chain, I'm happy. I should be able to pull 385 this week but no more 1RM until I can pull 350 1x5. I'm both excited and nervous. Happy that I'm getting to my goal of 4 plates. But nervous because I prolly gained all my noob gains...It's gonna get harder from this point on...I would love to pull 510. That'll be 3 x my weight. Anyhow, I'm going to drink more beer. Brb

Accessories are good for getting past certain stalls. You also won't get better at bench, MP, etc, if you keep skipping it.

I'm really excited to reset around the 18th or so. I'll be back from a mini vacation, be done with submitting med school apps, and I'll be totally ready to hit the gym hard again. I've been getting a lot out of 3 x 45-60 min sessions a week, but I want m0ar!

I thought you were only supposed to do 1-2 sets of deadlifts? I've doing it three times every two weeks with 2 warm up sets and 1x5 work set.

Yes, mother, I won't skip my bench press or military press anymore besides I've never said I've stopped doing those all together. lolz Well, I've been doing bench and press just not as heavy as I used to do them. I think I should still be able to hit 265 on bench but don't feel like doing it anytime soon. Anyhow, I'll rest tomorrow and be back to schedule the next day. Have fun on your vaca. It looks like you need it. :)

Lol, are you doing the Stronglifts 5x5? I've been following that program myself but added a 4th day and I dead lift twice a week. I don't think my DL training is high volume. I do about 4 to 5 sets of warm up (135, 185, 225, 275) then 3 to 4 working sets with 3 to 5 reps. It seems to be working for me as I've pulled from 295 to 365 in 7 weeks. I did all those sets today because I skipped out on doing squats and the press. But then again, what do I know about training. I only pull 365. That's pnuts compared to some on here.

Get the AdiPowers.

I haven't tried the Romaleos but imo the AdiPowers are just about perfect.

The Romaleos are supposed to be heavier, stiffer and wider. Some people maybe like that for a super solid base when they're squatting but from my experience the AdiPowers provide fantastic support and stability and I like that they're snug and lightweight. The strap on the Romaleos have been said to be too long, touching the floor for some people. The AdiPower don't have the forefoot strap, but again, that's not really needed imo. + the white ones are sexy.

Have you seen this one? It seems like a good contender and a lot cheaper.
