^ nice work. My rep PR at that weight is 13, that would probably crush me right now though.

Well yea, you went for high volume aesthetics and I went for strength. I do high volume and strength now UH OH

lol this ICU rotation is killing my sleep schedule. I downloaded a sleep cycle app and found that I'm spending on average 6:15 in bed every night and probably getting about 5:45 of actual sleep.

I do 40'm sprints when my sinuses aren't acting up.

going for ART tomorrow, being done by a chiropractor and not an RMT if that makes any difference. i'm going to a clinic that has a poliquin-trained dude and a training staff exclusively populated by NCSA-certified people, so hopefully they can shed some insight on the issue.

external rotations help a lot for some reason, and there's a lot of tightness in my deltoid where it hits the lateral head of the tricep. i wonder why

Tried the leg press machine at the gym today. Super dooper light. It has a pivot on it and I was able to keep my hips/lower back firmly on the pad at all times. Going to see how I feel the next couple of days and see if I can incorporate it into my lifts.

I felt like crap lifting today. Everything felt heavy, but I stuck with it.

thanks, and i too would be unable to get close to that after an injury layoff. pretty incredible how quickly conditioning drops off a cliff! twenty reppers are good for mental conditioning too

Back feels pretty good. Crossing my fingers that this works out. Going to start doing the LP a bunch. Nothing crazy weight-wise, but going to pile on dem reps.

Last night, I hit my new RP on DL 350 lbs. Pretty stoked to get my 1RM from 295 to 350 in 3 weeks. 55 lbs increase. Next, goal 360 then onto 400. :D

Make sure you keep your form in check.... DL is easy to cheat on and easier to get hurt on

After talking about not doing much for 1RM's...he's right back to doing them.

Use your head man.

Leg feels a little weird. I'll give a few days. It's probably still an issue though apparently. My back doesn't like spinal loading at all. This BLOWS.

For your general amusement:

Tonight in our work gym, just as I was wrapping up and doing some foam rolling, this guy turns up with HIS OWN HUGE BARBELL PAD; spends five minutes getting it perfectly positioned on the bar, and then proceeds to do sets of 5 quarter-reps with 55kg

Just managed to stop myself from asking him what the hell he thought that was good for
