All I've been able to get in were a bunch of pull-ups and sprints and push-ups and dips at rest stops and early morning here before it got too hot.
I have no clue how people who don't exercise can live with themselves. If feel like total shit if I'm not able to do something at least every 48 hours or so.

Same way. It's probably an addiction. I'm all bummed that after working out for about two months every day, I know my body needs a rest day but I just don't want to take a day off. Plus, I enjoy eating too much, so would have to curb that if I didn't exercise.

Why would you drive if it's 6 days worth of driving?
Why? I'm pleased with the results I've gotten. I've been working out in some form or another for 25 years, I've done plenty of heavy lifting in my day

Its def gotta be a worthy trip

Im not scared of travel though. When I went to Europe for my honeymoon I lost 10lbs in 2 weeks, and it took me a month to get my lifts back to where they were. But it was an epic trip that was def worth the small setback.

I would be more pissed spending 6 days driving to and from Denver. Im almost certain it would have been cheaper to fly.

Oh.

I was joking because I thought you knew that RHET was relatively lifting focused.

Oic. Didn't realize, took name of thread at face value.

I drove cos it was last minute thing. $440 each by plane once we actually found out the wedding date. Me, wife, son = ~1300. Ended up driving with my in laws too they split petrol with us and paid hotels on the way out. Should end up costing about $500 total instead of $500 each.
I should make it clear that I'm salty largely because I had to come in the first place.
I lived in Denver for 3 years and fucking hated it. It's my wife's cousin getting married, all of her relatives in CO I don't get along with and don't feel welcome around. I didn't want to come but was guilted in to it as without me they would have all had to fly for some reason and couldn't afford to do so. It's about 25 hours driving each way but we break it up in 3 days since there's 5 of us in the car and my son is only 2.5.

That sounds like the worst road trip ever.

Yeah pretty much. I don't give a single shit about any of the family out here, but I love my wife and her parents and they would've been disappointed if I didn't. We leave first thing in the morning but I'm about to head out to 24hr fitness while everybody else goes out for a goodbye dinner. I'm expected to be there but if i go nobody will talk to me and I'll just be down the end of the table playing with my son.

Ate a rack of baby back ribs today, off the grill, with homemade bbq sauce. No idea how to count that, all I had besides that was a glass of chocolate milk. Don't wanna eat more and risk going over blah.

Feel pretty gross and bloated/fat right now. Ugh, this cut is going. so. slow. Broke into the 170's, just barely, a couple days ago. 180 right now so hopefully will be back down come the morning. Lifts are maintaining or going up slowly, which is all good. 8 more pounds to my original goal of 172.

I had wings at Hooters today.

Next week I'm getting a oversize tub / whirlpool put in my extra bathroom. I can't wait, going to do amazing things for my recovery.

I ate pretty okay this weekend all said and done, but I also rode my bike around a bit so that's good I suppose.

I have to admit it. I have a sweet tooth. I really hate it, but I have it, but I almost always regret it afterwards if the dessert sucks. I think good go to's are crunch ice cream bars (like 150 cals each) or mochi with ice cream in it (has some protein in it too). I might start putting these in my freezer so I can reach for one when in the mood. I also rarely drink during the workweek, aside from maybe a tiny bit of scotch on the rocks before bed a couple of nights.

It all evens out I guess.

I cooked tonight though! Should have lunch for the next 2-3 days. I might start doing this over weekends to save some money so I can start getting my life together.

I sent in my first round of apps to medical school on saturday. Shit is fucking expensive. And I applied to 30 schools. It's going to be a penny pinching fall...

Definitely grounds for a good old fashioned ass beating. Good job. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
