This is very relevant right now..

First article I do not agree with completely: http://bretcontreras.com/youre-all-a-bunch-of-pathetic-weaklings-says-the-steroid-using-powerlifter/

I agree with the rebuttal 100%: http://www.lift-run-bang.com/2014/06/hey-bret-youre-just-little-off-here.html

i'm just trolling, slow work day. brett contreras looks like shit so his article is ass wipe to me. at a certain point, lifting natural is like playing catch without a glove. lifting geared is sometimes like playing catch without balls though.

steroids aren't a cure all. countless baseball players took them and it didn't help the vast majority much.

I have a long history of being average/mediocre at my hobbies. That's my excuse.

truly random thought. how do superheroes have muscles? resistance=growth and they would have to lift cars and shit to get any resistance.

Doesn't make a huge difference in training sure but makes a big difference in how you look.

which makes this part make no sense:
By all means lift for strength but this neckbeard of mentality is "i train PL so all my training is about strength also look better than people who train for bb and also people who train bb are narcissists afraid to lift heavy or do real work" reeks of insecure-internet-nerdery, especially because most of them look like shit with guts and stick arms or fatceps (this phenom seen very often on /fit/ and r/fitness)

I agree 100% but also think this is largely "reddit is full of idiot insecure nerd neckbeard assholes" more than "bb vs pl."

Which superhero? Superman is basically magic which is cheating.  Batman and wolverine are shown lifting weights and shit all the time, I don't think they're "super strong," just kinda jacked.  Spiderman is supposed to be able to lift 50 times his weight or whatever, like a spider, but I mean spiders don't lift weights so I guess that's how you explain that, and who knows how radioactive spider bites affect hypertrophy and muscle recovery anyway.

The Thing actually does get shown lifting trucks and shit in the movies, I think?

Myostatin deficiencies.

wolverines joints and bones should allow for heavy lifting. batman has no superpowers i guess he is just human strong.

Aquaman and Namor are both adapted to the harsh environment of the deep sea, which I guess would make you strong.

Batman lifts

Wonder Woman is a God, so she gets a pass.

Captain America got super soldiered so he gets a pass.

Green Lantern shouldn't have muscles as his whole powers are mental. Cyborg too.

Martian Manhunter is a shapeshifter so he'd just make himself aesthetic.

Red Tornado and Vision are robots so they were built to be aesthetic.

Iron Man and Daredevil are both a normal guys with enhanced senses but they're not usually presented as being huge.

Spider-man isn't always gigantic either (he's more wiry/tyler durdenmode) though it depends on which artist is drawing him

vs.

First day at work, $330 to listen to presentations about how special my bank is and how they care about their people and how they put their clients first. Such a weird feel getting paid. Every bank says the same shit about their core values, I don't really see the point.
