My garage gym

A few things out of shot: dip attachment and landmine attachment for the rack plus a handful of row handles for the landmine.

See, he's built like a running back but he lifts like a line man!!! That's insane! He must have some insane bio-mechanics.

By meat heads, do you mean people stronger than you?

Opps, forgot the aforementioned word could be perceived as a derogatory term. Edited. :embar:

If it says anything at all, I'm prob one of the smaller guys in the thread at 157 and retested my 1rm for 425 ^_^. I bet given frequency and hard push your dl would prob skyrocket in a short time period.

I'm really surprised at how heavily some of the less bulky guys could dead lift. I'm really inspired, now. I'm going to revamp my routine down to something like this. Day 1, bench and triceps. Day 2, shoulders and squats. Day 3, upper back and dead lifts. Rinse and repeat for 3 months. Will report back with results.

I would switch day 2 and 3 at the very least.

Why don't you just pick up an established program at the start?

Hmmm, I just might do that, thanks.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to do deads the day after squats. I'd do it the other way around, if it was up to me I'd have a day between them.

Do a push/pull/legs split or something like that to start if you don't want to do a bodybuilding split. Or even stronglifts with accessories. The thing is that 3-6 months into a split you'll see what you like/dislike and what works for you. Branch out from there. No need to reinvent the wheel.

this is fucking excellent, puts my hobo-gym to shame. wish i had that kind of space.

sometimes when i get bored i browse rogue and dream of what my homegym could look like; then i look at the pricetag and go back to kijiji.

Thanks man. The whole set up was about $3,800. And it's a 2 car garage that usually has 2 cars in it (hence the tarp over the matting). Closest gym to me is about 30 mins so it was a necessity when we bought the house.

Quick 40ish min workout today.

Did 3x5 with 135lb front squats. I'll see how I feel tomorrow.

Other than that, just some shoulder, bi, and tri work.

The outside of my foot bugs me the day after when I go over 300 in squat. Guess collapsed arches? Doesn't feel like I am. Maybe time to get those addidas or get stronger hips and hams and squat in chucka
