Don't get me wrong. There's great energy and everyone is cheering for you when you're going for a PR no matter how small it is... but seeing how fucking brutally strong everyone is, you don't congratulate yourself. You just go straight to setting a new goal.

this is the reality of what happens when you buy a bunch of eleiko shit for a uni gym, what did they do to deserve this? Someone doing horrific form preacher curls on a $40 bar with like $500 worth of plates. There are tonnes of signs up around the gym saying not to do t bar rows with the eleiko bars because a bunch of them are fucked up now lol.

Skittles pressing is the best. My garage gym is all bumpers cos I don't want to deal with rust flakes every time I grab a plate off the floor.

Doing skulls and curls and with like 6 colourful plates on there is the most comical shit and I love every 2nd of it.

I've been trying to work up to an L-sit from the floor for a bit now. Thought I had decent abs at this point but even with legs pulled close I can only do a couple seconds

Ugh. I bet I don't have the hamstring flexibility for that. I might have to try sometime haha.

Sw&d fitness talks reached new level of painful today
post #44528 of 57266

That dude is hilarious. Like... I haven't said anything about myself... Does he really think I care about what he thinks of me? Dude doesn't know what a power rack is and claims to lift. Lmfao.

I mean.. I honestly hope he lifts more than me. I'm pretty much the equivalent of a cripple when it comes to lifting.

I did eat some ice cream on the way home. Good job dieting dude! Time for some scotch and grad school essay writing for an hour :/

On a scale from "not painful" to "gettoasty asks what color rubber dumbells will help him break through his 115 lb squat plateau-- and conceptionist answers", how painful?

Like... not knowing what a power rack is and claiming there's unfunctional muscle-painful

jet is bitching because he feels like a lot of guys that lift get too much muscle, and that there isn't a point to have that much muscle after a certain point because it's like past the point of being functional for sports or whatever, and then says he doesn't know what a power rack is, and proceeds to tell us all that his friend got jacked doing nothing but body weight workouts, and makes fun of ridethecliche for being 5'10 160 as if that means anything, and then makes fun of him for giving advice even though he's basically doing the same thing and probably is in much worse shape than ridethecliche. Then some other user said lifting weights is "so barbaric" and everyone started talking about Game of Thrones. I think that about covers it.

And then KC made fun of me and I trolled him.

And when you're using me as a benchmark, you really must be in pretty shit shape. I'm a year out from back surgery and I've had two in the last year and a half and I've been injured for 2 years before that. Lots of gnarly lifting in all that time.

Didn't know what a power rack was is the best. Lifting at my mates poverty garage gym today, gonna feel so hardcore until I get pinned and can't ditch the bar because he only has shit squat stands, cast iron plates and no matting.
