Went to edc yesterday. Realized I no longer look early 20's and lift, now mid to late 20's and I lift.

I got diagnosed with sub-clincial (meaning slightly outside reference range, but reference range seems liberal and currently undergoing revision) hypothyroidism. Wtf! Glad it wasnt low testosterone which I feared, but non the less. Anyone have any experiences/known anything about impact on training/lifting?

will start on low dose synthetic thyroxine and see if I feel better/values turn normal

The problem with most research studies would be much smaller if the issue were just outliers.

The problem with most research studies is the design of the study, itself.

Research shouldn't be ignored, but it should be subject to a lot of scrutiny. I've seen a lot of cases where someone online "proves" their point by linking to a pubmed abstract, where most of the time you can't even read their methods and selection criteria.

^^ As a published researcher I agree, but still think that citing research is better than citing bro-science (or comparable, given the area of discussion). However, everyone should be aware that studies need to be replicated, and that a statistically significant effect can be so small that it is meaningless in most situations.

testosterone must give off mad pheromones. I was hit on by three hot girls today ranging from 18-40 and my neighbor made me compare the symmetry of her glutes.
