I may be allotted an intern for the summer. so what the fuck do i have them do rhet? psyche them out with massive data sets that aren't even really necessary?

2. Bone density profiles in women doing strength training vs distance running vs a combined program
3. Looking for radiological(xray) evidence of vertebral pathology in elite-level deadlifters based on degree of lumbar flexion during the lift

Any suggestions appreciated.

Also I'm drunk.

#2 seems like the only feasible one here

Try plate curls and heavy farmers walks. High rep shrugs and kroc rows are also an easy way to get in more grip work through other lifts.

But I remember lifting in college and being excited when I could finally bench 1 plate, so it just is going to take time to overcome my bird chest genetics.

This is quite good. Last time I tested my 5 rep max (back in Feb) I had roughly the same numbers.

I have been lifting for a longer time but I was fucking around for so long. A year ago my back squat was at 165lbs x 5, bench 150 x 5 and DL 250 x 5, so decent progress still I guess.

interns are a pain if you got no obvious use for them. I have mine collect experimental data, but that´s about as useful as they get (in academia). Your massive data set idea is good, just give them a link to some machine learning algorithms and tell them you expect wonders.

Very stupid. Your meathead math is way off point.

Meathead Math 101:

135, 225, 315, 405, 495, 585, 675, 765, 855.. come on, bro.. do you even math?

If I ran a gym the only plates would be 45 and 90

I had a similar meathead math problem when i put 25 kg plates on the bar for deadlifting thinking they were 45 lbs and promptly sprained my SI joint :/

Dude I trained olympic lifting with was obsessed with becoming in investment banker. He had a pretty crazy physique, did bodybuilding all through highschool then did olympic lifting. Went to Harvard (came from a rich family), will and is probably making tons of money but doesn't seem to have time for anything else.

Almost two weeks into new routine and really liking it. The workouts are quicker but much more intense. Strength is finally beginning to rebound. I've gained about 10 pounds in that time.

Hey TK - so any thoughts on whether you packed on muscle from that bulk compared to last year?

When you guys say "cutting" are you referring to dropping weight, or is there a weight-lifter specific definition here, such as cutting carbs or body fat? Just curious.
