Also, I think you stop rating being sore as an indicator of how much progress you'll get. I can raise my arm over my head 300 times and I bet it'll be sore as hell. Does that mean I will be stronger, more aesthetic, whatever? It's the same logic that people have when they same they don't like to lift heavy with longer rest periods cause it doesn't make them sweat or feel like they are "working out". It can be a decent indicator but it can also say absolutely nothing.

+1. When I practice piano for a couple hours, my shoulders and upper back will be more sore than pretty much any gym workout. Yet I've never seen a yoked pianist with massive delts.

Tear drop/hip flexor gains. Do I train legs yet? Sickening squat session today, went 100kgx23 for warm up with the shittiest form ever. Chest was too sore today to get my upper back tight or even grip the bar close so I had to have the bar basically on my neck, holding the bar at the collars shooting my knees far as fuck forward. Might as well have used the pussy pad, wouldn't have made a difference. Big PR on front squats too went up to 125x2, 130kgx1 so hoping for 3 plates in the next 2 weeks maximum. I ned to get tan, I look like gollum.



Lolziest thing came up on my news feed. Some boy I know who is basically the male equivalent of those girls who have a friend in art school who takes photo of them and thinks they're a model. He posted these "progress" pictures on instagram saying some shit about how all his hard work the last 3-4 years has been worth it. Makes less gains the gettoasty, did he forget to eat? Fuck he's been lifting longer then me.

Gonna take long time at least. I don't think I ever want to cut more than 20 pounds at a time.

 

Mark Bell have talked a lot about he lost 50 pounds with Carbnite (keto all days of the week but one heavy carb up evening) but I'm not sure how long it took him.

Weights he could rep out sets of 5 with became very hard singles though.
