Slow eccentrics, hold contraction, up the reps etc etc etc.

I don't really consider tricep pushdown a "building movement". I occassionally do it for elbow prehab purposes.

Dips, cgbp, ohp (with elbows forward through the lift) and lying tricep extensions behind the head are easier to get some overload and big weights with.

Correlation doesn't mean causation, but the guys who can push big weights on dips, cgbp, ohp and tricep ext pretty much never have lagging triceps. The same can't be said for tricep pushdowns from what I've seen.

1. Cardio and/or carb cycling necessary or super helpful for getting into single digits or can you just do it with a simple calorie deficit?

2. Can I maintain my current caloric intake, and count on the weight loss decreasing my caloric maintenance level and therefore the deficit I'm running, to run an appropriate deficit once I start getting to that point?

Fuck rhet the prophecies are true. My straight bodybuilding friend who doesn't really have much in life going on in terms of job prospects has begun doing gay for pay. Not like some Matt Ogus flexing on web cam shit. He just went over some 50 year old mans house and punched his naked testicles for an hour whilst the guy called him master and took loads of drugs for $200. He's gonna be fucking grapefruit in no time. I'd punch a guy in the balls for $200, be like a speed bag. Cannot imagine how people can deal with that pain. Getting kicked in the balls through trousers where it's not like that direct a hit hurts so much, but to have someone like line up and directly punch your naked ball sack must be agony.

John meadows starts all of his tricep workout with pushdowns. That being said his version of it has hit made my lateral head grow more than anything else.

1. You should be able to get into single digits with just correct macros and calories.

2. Can you rephrase?

3 days no carbs and I'm starting to feel never full. Thank god tomorrow I get to carb up because I have eaten way too many stupid vegetables.

Yeah, I start all my sessions with some light tricep pushdowns along with some other isolation movements to get a pump going. I just prefer to do bigger and heavier lifts. I find it easier to progress on those.

Oh definitely, I couldn't imagine doing a 275lb tricep extension but can cgbp it. Also, it's nice to warm your joints up with the push downs isn't it?

How do you determine progress with bodybuilding? Like take measurements and pictures and shit? Powerlifting its easy because at the end of the month you set new prs or get stapled at the bottom of the squat and go home and cry

Meh I tried dips for tricep work. I'm too heavy now, I don't want to dip more than ~250lbs which I'm pretty much at now. I press 4x/wk, CGBP won't do much but burn me out. 2 of those presses are OHP but to be fair they aren't fully elbow forward. I tried lying tricep extensions; didn't like em. Too much instability keeping me from focusing on the movement. I'm liking one joint movements.

Measurements, strength and how you look in the mirror.

Try using two ropes and extremely contracting at the end. I fucking love it.
