true, but like fuji said you need to define what you mean by proficiency. if it's WWC/EWC olympic level, then yes you most definitely need to start training pretty serious at age 9-10. however, if by proficient you mean something less spectacular, it can totally be done even when starting at a later age.

and dont mention Lu here as an example he probably had better technique as a track & field guy than most US (or finnish) lifters already.

this.

it seems you have little exposure to actual strength athletes' programming. lower intensity days and proper periodization is important as shit. and this is in reference to ppl who go to the olympics so if they do it it's most likely worthy to consider for a weekend warrior.

Carb ups are beautiful, beautiful things. Go from skinny-fat DYEL status to thick, solid, tight in a single day.

Ugh. Having some minor repairs done on my apartment but when they ripped up the kitchen floor they realized that all 6 joists are rotten through on one side. Since then the floor has been open and my girlfriend and I have become legit sick in the past 24 hours from what seems like mold.

Ive been doing these as my only discrete upper movement. I'm unable to use a clean grip due to my elbow so I've been working up from 135 with my arms fully extended. Pretty finicky but I can feel it through the whole upper back; give them a try if you're looking for a new shrug variation.

I love front squarts. Going to have that oly lifter dyel physique come summer.

Anyone have any experience with a manta ray? I need a yoke-type bar so I can load a back squat rack position for hise shrugs etc but I dont want to shell out for a ssb.

My friend told me I need to do these A LOT. I can hardly do them though. Thanks for the reminder, I'm going to add them to my YOLO overhead press / scapula health day

Bros, now that I have health insurance, I need to get back on a program. I haven't worked out since January frown.gif (Too worried to do anything without insurance. Also some laziness at play.) I have also made the realization that I am fatter than I thought, probably still in the low-mid 20%s even though I got down from 205+ to 185. (skinnyfat DYEL etc.) Not sure what strategy to take. I'm leaning towards re-starting some sort of LP (prob. Greyskull or SS with more accessory work) and doing a recomp/maintenance diet so I don't gain weight, then riding that out until I stall. Suggestions? Comments?

Omar Isuf, a youtube fitness personality who is actually pretty cool refers to people who don't even lift, as "yolos." I think this is entertaining.

For example

"Don't be a yolo, make sure to warm up before any training session."

Unrelated note can't wait to graduate and instantly de-friend all the annoying SJW classmates spamming my fb wall all the time with sob stories about black homosexual single mothers trying to make it by but can't because the man is holding them down.
