I still wouldn't say event day is high rep it all. It's more max effort for reps. The strongman I train/trained with who are nationally ranked mostly train like powerlifters in that they are doing some sort of linear progression on the squats, deadlift, overhead press then have their 4th day as an event day. They probably look more jocked than powerlifters because of the extra conditioning, not because they do a bodybuilding split.
I was going to do a strongman event, but then I dropped out. Which makes me an expert in everything strongman hah.
