How much did you lose so far, how are your lifts looking

Anyone experiencing training apathy?

Still going 3xweek, but... meh. Every time I make progress on the elbow, I get excited, then next session it hurts some other way. havent made any meaningful progress otherwise, and its getting to a point where I'm starting to just not care about training anymore.

I might have to spend my time writing a guide to swimming or something

Been cutting since Jan 11th. This is week 11. My starting weight was 211, so I've lost a total of 26lbs.

Strength has taken a bit of a hit. Pulled 485x1 yesterday, squatted 365x5 today(last one was a grinder), and benched 225x10 two days ago...all a bit lower than my bests.

My biceps are holding me back from benching right now. Not experiencing any apathy though. Just making me hungrier and more motivated.

Two steps forward, one step back. Time will heal most injuries, just gotta be smart during that time and get the work done to get stronger while not making the injury worse.

3x/week might be the problem...

I just came to the realization that I'm not built for powerlifting... every time I go on a PL stretch, my back starts crying. No biggies, just gotta switch it up and change the focus. I look at injuries like lessons... as long as they don't take you out completely and you figure out the source, they help in the long run. I had a shoulder scare that took me off the bench for a few months... figured out I had the bar too far up and wasn't tucking my elbows enough. Etc. I would just try and figure out the cause... but if you are using your arms 3x a week best place to start IMO would be to cut that down to 2.

Ran 1.5 miles at 10 min pace last night after workout, which isn't bad for me since I never run any "distance", had only planned to go 1 and felt like i could have done more. Knees hurt today though, seems to happen every time I jump on a treadmill anymore frown.gif

CTK I do refeeds every 5 days. No EC stack since it's b& from this fed.

I'm afraid I'm about as natty as it gets this cut. frown.gif

I'm more pumped about training now than ever, but I've been pretty tired of it on some occasions.

It has always been during periods when I've tried to go to the gym more often or add extra cardio sessions on top of my lifting routine, which would have me working out 5-6 times a week. That's just to often for me and makes it feel like my whole life centers around it and my motivation goes downhill.

3-4x a week is more appropriate for me right now with minimally planned cardio sessions.

On another note, tweaked something in my back today warming up on deadlifts.

I only had 200 pounds on the bar, but got careless and did three fast reps in a row without taking a new breath and stabilizing my core in between the reps. Just shows how easy it can happen if you're not 100% focused and do something stupid, and that you can get hurt with light weights.

Hope is goes away fast so I can continue training with the new program. Gonna rest for 2-3 days.
