Random health and exercise thoughts - Page 2679

I normally just take a second to two. Dead the rep, (I not so recently started to stop the tap and go and dead all my reps), adjust my grip if it's slipping which usually only happens once in awhile on the last set, and keep going. Nothing more than a few seconds.

I completely reset between each rep: stand up, let go of the bar, take a new big breath, etc... just like the first rep of the set. A set is then more like a cluster of singles. Makes most sense to me to train like this if your ultimate goal is a big single.

So for me its anywhere between 5-10 sec between every rep.

I did couch to 5k and i'm 2 weeks into bridge to 10k. I ran 4ish miles in 45ish minutes today and felt great, and that included the last mile where my phone died and i still could run without music.

I have to work my way back into cardio, but when I'm in that zone, I must admit I enjoy it as well.

I changed my cardio day into an olympic lifting day. Can't stand cardio, to each his own though.

Monday will be a month into cut, here is a log thus far. Monday is also weigh day, so hoping to see some more losses there as well.

I don't think the visual changes have really been coming in yet, but i've lost weight, maintained and even gained strength in some areas, and I feel great physically, so i've got absolutely nothing to complain about. Slow is the way to go, trying to retain as much muscle as possible.

Both pics are cold and no pump, first is from a month ago, second is from today.

I count to 5 between each rep on deads and I completely reset: step back, new breath, squeeze lats, etc. I feel like it's a bit much sometimes but wtf cares.
