Yep. I wouldn't say diet tho... it was more for meet prep/make weight/24hr refeed/hydrate. The two other coaches at BBBC still use them.

If my parents didn't foot the bill of my four year summer camp/liberal arts sub-ivy i'd have probably gone to rutgers honors program

Seriously, that Whatsapp buyout? 4 billion cash, 15 billion in Facebook shares (which they'll drop right away if they're smart)? Total crap. If anyone doubted a web 2.0 bubble, that's icing on the cake right there.

I have a friend who works at a tech M&A boutique bank with only 13 bankers. Gets paid something ridiculous as a first year analyst. Gets paid hourly, which is very strange and his hourly rate is based on a 40 hour work week with a salary of $70k so $34 an hour, but obviously being in IBD he works 80-100ish so his base is like $160k + bonus and he's 22. Deal flow is absolutely massive right now so he'll probably get a pretty big bonus on top. As you said with the looming bubble, I'm not sure I'd want to work for such a specialised firm.

Obviously they're less numerous than I was lead to believe.

Meh I wouldn't want to work that many hours for that pay, though its good for that age. I'm glad I got this job and hopefully can just stay in PE.

Tech isn't really a bubble, it's just overvalued generally speaking. For every Whatsapp there's tens of thousands of startups that failed. There's just so much cash sloshing around tech to fund these at the seed stage, VC's are looking for fast turnarounds with insane valuations. Nobody wants to fund growth past the seed stage; they'd rather fund another seed venture than risk failing growing a company. It's a shotgun strategy. A lot of graduates are starting to realize this too.

So many of these companies are churning out valueless shit, too, hoping for the next Farmville, Angry Birds, Candy Crush, Flappy Bird, etc. It's depressing that so much talent is being wasted in this way when it's basically playing the lottery.

maybe it's because higher education is a bit different here, but generally one does almost absolutely jack shit with a Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree is practically obligatory if you want to secure a decent job/career. Personally I enjoy my current job quite a lot, and because where I work is quite prestigious when speaking about economic research in my country I'll probably be able to leverage the shit out of my current posting to acquire an interesting job in the future (or, at least that's what I like to think anyways).

If I apply to graduate school at the end of the year, I'm basically looking at a year tops of working and then it's back to school.

The situation is the same in Sweden. Masters degree is almost a must unless you're coming from top 5 school and you have a great network.

I'm taking my bachelors right now and will prob continue with a masters this fall or I'll just study some complementary subjects until I feel ready.

I think my field is interesting but I can't say I really think its fun. Its still studies. I know what kind of job and the firm I want to be in so I have a goal at least.

There were unfortunately zero research jobs available unless you had a Masters or above or were intending on going into Academia.

Also went to a state school. Have gotten thru undergrad and med school with a grand total of $26k in debt(not counting all the time to Uncle Sam I owe).

you owe time in the military for med school right? this is such a good deal and i would've done it if i were single.

Wtf Toasty.

Can't tell if serious.

Watched some of his other vids and it seems to be G4P stuff, at least by judging from the comments and his followers.
