Yeah for sure. A lot of RMTs also suck balls. Finding a good one is invaluable though; most training issues ive had have been fixed through massage.

Looks like a 1725 total will be very doable this May.

Maybe a 1775-1800 if I keep making progress at this rate.

There are other lifts to push your body safely than squat, bench press and deadlift
Also, one does not have to focus on maximum weight; one could instead focus on reps/form etc

I see so many videos of people here and elsewhere who care so much about adding weight to the bar and yet

A) their form is atrocious
B) they are persistently unathletic and not really "strong" or "functional" at all outside the very specific, idiosyncratic and distorted version of thesr lifts they have created
C) they look like total shit. Skinny fat

I question what the point is
Of course this makes me a debbie downer while the rest of the internet circle jerks about how much progress they've made and how they really grinded that rep out etc

I suggest to people that they should carefully examine their goals and what they want out of their weightlifting.
In most cases, they are going about achieving them in a way that is inefficient and dangerous.

Of course you are all youngish now but I see lots of older people with destroyed joints and especially backs. Mostly from manual labour or previous injuries, but Maybe in the future all the internet badboy lifters

Chronic pain and disability is a major detractor to quality of life for elderly people.
It in turn leads to inactivity which leads to obesity, which in turn leads to diabetes, vascular disease etc, which in turn leads you to gangrenous feet and bed sores dying in a squalid fucking hospital bed

Sorry im being a downer again

Impressive, what weight are you sitting at?

This tends to be a touchy question, you may ignore it if you'd like too. Are you natural?

What do you "like" about these arbitrary three lifts in particular? See above

Im here to see and discuss what other people are doing
Is it acceptable for me to express my opinion? Maybe you might learn something from it

Volume training has never interested me, aside from that, I started to really blow up when I focused on the big 3. In fact, I haven't done a specific isolation routine in a year or two and I still dwarf the body parts that most people spend time targeting.

I also compete once or twice a year, this year Im hoping to hit 245lbs for my meet, which isn't too far off.

If youre going to brag about your appearance and how powerlifting "blew you up", then you need to post some photos

This is the guy that made me angry in the first place
What the fuck is he doing?

Also markl's lifts and other people

Im attaching a video with two reps at 135 kg/around 300 lb at the end of my work out. Had earlier done 1*5 and 1*3 at the same weight. Its not that much for me, and doesn't really feel heavy. However, I felt something was off, with some grinding lower back feelings, and decided to record the last two.

Ive pretty muched stalled on DL, mainly because I am afraid I will hurt my back. I am tall (193/6´4) and have some issues with setting up the angles. For example, I would like to have my shoulders further back, but that results in lower hips and yadayada...

So, what am I doing wrong? I see some lower back rounding, but unsure why. Am I trying to pull by raising my back, or whats happening.

I wasn't bragging, my ego isn't that big. I was just stating a simple fact, I'd appreciate if you didn't respond with such an undeserved superiority complex, it won't get you anywhere. We're all equal in here.

Are you saying I made you angry? I can't interpret who you're referring too

And ok.

if i wanted this kind of whiny bitchiness i'd go over to SW&D.

skeen, you're being an ass to people in what's normally a fairly friendly and low key thread.

i don't walk into where you work and slap the dick out of your mouth. chill the fuck out.

But for real, fuck out of here. I've been training seriously for less then a year, and i've went through a pretty big recomp. Not to mention the huge benefits it did to my mental health.

As someone above said, arguing on the internet is useless, so bloooooock.

Skeen, I guess you see me as a fun example of bad form and so on, but I asked because I wanted to improve my form (hence, I obviously found it lacking ). I try to get better at deadlifts, squats and so on because I find it so much more satisfying and motivating to add weight on my lifts rather than focus on appearance.

About 220-224 depending on the day.

For the time being. Might change this year.
