Powerlifting is not just about competing. I do it as a way to vent and discipline myself.

 

I don't know many people who would wake up at 4AM for years on end to better themselves. They just find excuses

I think I've reached a zen state of mind where I don't acknowledge people online who are looking for an argument. I've never been on Reddit, so I may be wrong but it just seems like that places breeds the trolling and online bashing mentality and it just stems from there to other places. People need to get a life. Or maybe I'm just getting older.

I train like a powerlifter and have done one meet, but I'm no where near competitive so bodybuilding / general well being is important too.

I have a meet in August, Ill be in the 231+ class and hoping to pull a 1500 total

Nice, good luck. I was 195lbs, I'm 186lbs and hoping to post up a decent total this year at a meet. Shooting for 1,000.
