Can somebody give me a real explanation behind why steroids are controversial? Looking at all of the information it is ass backwards to me. Almost all of the golden era bodybuilders are old as fuck and fine, everyone is trying every supplement under the sun to increase test and boost muscle growth and there's this 90 year old drug that does everything people are searching for, but it's off limits and cheating. I seriously don't get it.

It's the stupid social stigma. As far as I'm concerned, monitored doses of test and HGH are miracle drugs

Why even monitored? It's no one's job but your own to ensure your own safety. As far as I'm concerned just about everything, excepting things like antibiotics where free distribution would cause public harm via resistant bacteria, should be legal provided potential risks and side effects are clearly made known. inb4 dependence and addiction

I agree iham. It gets even more ridiculous when you consider that a ton of serious athletes, ranging from major national sports "heros" to college footboll players, are using it.

Watch Bigger, Faster, Stronger. Interesting documentary on the subject made by Mark Bells brother. Its pretty biased but a good watch still.

I mean monitored in the sense you keep an eye on your bloodwork and side effects

Don't give two shits if they legalize marijuana but for the love of God please legalize gear.

I guess if steroids were freely available everyone would be huge and shredded.

Whereas at least now I can be slightly superior to 98% of the male population, because they look like total shit and I only look slightly shitty.

Is legality really what holding you guys back from getting on gear?

It's going to be a long time before I even consider gear, but when I do yes. Not really for the fact that I'm scared of the law, or something like that, rather I don't know what kind of quality product I'm getting.

Much rather get pharmaceutical grade stuff than some home brew made in some gym rats basement.

^Ok I see, that makes sense.
