I love football. I'm going into a field that specializes in traumatic brain injuries, spin cord injuries, and musculoskeletal pathology. Football ensures I'll always have a job!

I never understood why people pigeonholed themselves with brown rice for carbs. There are so many other options with totally similiar macros, lentils, quinoa, whole whea pasta (becoming a favorite of mine), whole wheat orzo, etc.. Wtf is the fascination with brown rice. Maybe it's the way I cook it, but it always comes out blah

brown rice is nutty and delicious.

buy a rice cooker.

pasta that is 100% whole grain is actually a bitch to find.

RHET bros - a favor;

One of the fits I submitted was selected for an EP Fit Contest (linked here). If you wouldn't mind bouncing over to that thread and offering a vote, I'd appreciate it.

That is all for now. Thanks.

Also agree w/ Mark. Trader Joes FTW.

I am still struggling with brown rice. I'm trying to add fried rice to the carb repertoire but I can't cook the rice properly in the first place to fry it. I do not want to commit to a rice cooker yet though.

was grabbing coffee with some female colleagues of mine today and they were complaining about their forearms being sore as hell from playing badminton. So I said to roll them with a tennis ball and they looked at me like I was some awesome physical therapist or some shit. isn't this just the basic stuff everyone should know?

also it's looking quite likely that I'm applying for grad school, too bad that requires like 3 months of GRE prep to get dat good quant score. Still at that stage I'm thinking am I motivated enough, but I do like doing research a lot.

In there with a power rack finally from Craigslist but forgot pick up the pull up bar! lol.

Hopefully he will ship it to me don't want to waste another 3 hours driving there and back again.

I just need some rubber mats now and hope my second floor doesn't collapse. LOL. (yes I have it set upstairs.)

doing kaplan course right now. it's kind of a waste of time tbh considering my cold scores were pretty good.

How are you guys messing up brown rice? What brand are you buying? Aside from maybe burning it once or twice I don't think I've ever cooked it wrong, and I always use a sauce pan.  I use either Uncle Ben's or the fancy stuff they have at whole food's depending on what I'm cooking.  For fried rice, add some soy sauce to the water then throw it in the pan you cooked the veggies and whatever in for 1-2 minutes on high.

I've felt like shit the past two days, I'm wondering if I am having too few calories.  Gym yesterday was pretty rough and I failed with weights I was able to do with no trouble on Sunday.
