Was in weightlifting class today and had something funny/cool happen. Had a silent squat competition with the guy next to me. Wasn't even my leg day, but we both kinda smirked each time we put on more plates, both walking around the gym for 45s. Ended up going to 335 for so before I started dropping reps. Ended with a grin and that was it. Felt pretty good since I haven't really squat that much (including front squat) sets in awhile. Maybe me miss the 3x squat weeks over the once a week of 5/3/1.
Just a grin? No reach around?
I think Rip gets a lot of shit because he's out there so much, and also because he acts like such an authority on the subject. Granted, he is an authority, and I totally understand why he's so convinced he's 100% correct on everything - that's what happens when you dedicate so much of your life to something - but I also get the hate.
Benched 215 today, so it's still going up. Skipped squats because of the damn knee, gonna put a heat pad on it all night and see if that helps. I don't think I'll hit 1000 lbs but I'll probably break 200 lbs bodyweight. So excited to take naked pictures for you guys so you can tell me I look skinny as fuck and like I made no progress whatsoever.
