I just tried a two split progra, bench/rows and squat/overhead press/deadlift, but I have a feeling this will increase time in gym/week ...

I time out my rest to 90-120 seconds between sets, and only up to 3 minutes if I've been totally wiped. Stronglifts + accessory work maxes for me at 1.5 hours a session.

Running Stronglifts with additional accessory work. You can see my routine a couple posts up.

I take 2-3 min between the compounds and 1-2 between less taxing lifts. A session usually takes 2.5 hours with a proper warmup. Generally 3 hours from I leave my apartment until I'm back.

The common strategy when the session are getting too long is to split up the volume over more days. I'm going to do this eventually, probably when I hit a 1000 lb total.

Stronglifts, which is run 3x a week with squats 3x, bench 1.5x, deadlift 1.5x and ohp 1.5x could be translated into a 4 day routine something like this:

Monday: Squat, Bench, Rows

Wednesday: Squat, OHP, Chin Ups

Friday: Squat, Bench, Rows (maybe front squats instead since you're DLing the next day)

Saturday: Deadlift, Chin Ups

Chin ups are obv not written in the normal Stronglifts routine but I think they're too good to not be doing.

Those who have made the switch from high bar to low bar squat - how long did it take you to get comfortable and bring your weight back up to where it was? I'm going to try making the switch on Monday, I just want to give myself a idea of how long this could take.

GN didn't you have some plank / side plant routine you were doing around the house? What was it?

re: Facial hair. I haven't had a haircut in like 4 months and grew out a mustache and a soul patch. I look like a different person, weird.

the worst of both worlds, you don't get the manly beard but you don't get to not shave either

Ya it was my PT for my pubic symphasis disorder.

First you do 3 sets alternating Plank/Side Plank (do normal planks until you can work up to 60 seconds, then add 10 lbs, up to 60 seconds, 10 lbs etc. etc.)

Then you do cheek-to-cheeks (couldn't find a better name/place to find them) x20 on each side (3 sets)

Then I would do 3 sets of TRX Pendulum Pike (10 on each side)
