A 200mg caffeine pill has helped my focus in the gym tremendously

But not even a week in I am finding days I DON'T take it my focus and alertness kind of take a little hit....

Human body/brain can only do so much I guess... it's important to let it reset

I haven't implemented auto-regulation full on yet, but I'm def looking to do so in the future. Said it before, but I'm thinking about trying some of Mike Tuscherers ideas. Have read pretty much everything on his website and will buy his RTS manual soon.

The only way I use auto-reg atm, is to ramp up to a max single at a RPE 9 before I hit my squat rep work.

What exactly do you mean by auto regulation?

Mark:

It pretty much means that you don't have a strictly set plan, usually in regards to what weight and how many reps and sets you will use for a lift.

Re: New AdiPower color

So I've been looking around for some info and ended up at this Russian store.

They have the white AdiPowers for sale for a pretty insane price and some Ironwork III (thanks Lag for the correction) in a lot of sizes. Still very expensive.

Another pic of the white AdiPowers from that Facebook page VLSI linked

Hmmm... almost tempted to not break out the AdiPowers for their first use today. If the whites are released soon I'd rather sell mine and get those instead.

also rumours of a black colorway for the Adipowers and Romaleos 3 being released soon.

6 days a week volume without a belt and wraps has halted squat progress but my deadlifts have been movingggggggg.

4th week in a row of PR's and beltless to boot.

Thanks, looks like all the volume paid off then. GF said I look much thicker and leaner at the same bodyweight I was before my weight cut. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Is there any benefit to dead lifting in squat shoes?

Ah, I understand. I actually did that for shoulders the other day. Makes a lot of sense to listen to your body day to day rather than just going through a list of prescribed sets and reps.

I wish I knew that when I first started training.

Well they do provide a stable base, but for me it spells bad news. I suppose it could be beneficial with the right body proportions.

I am a big fan of my Romaleos 2:

(hitting extension on power clean)

They're the best fitting shoe I've ever worn, period. Going on close to 2 years ownership now, only the outside heel is showing wear, otherwise they look practically new. Given my anatomy (high ratio of limb length to torso size), a higher heel would probably benefit me, but it's not a huge deal. I also like how they appear not that different from a regular Nike sneaker; I'm not much for gym swag or labels, so the fact that they don't draw attention as a weight lifting shoe is a bonus for me.

That would be surprising. Both Adidas and Nike have released previous iterations the year before Olympics while giving it model year of the Olympics. Plus, I don't want to buy new shoes yet, but obviously I would have to buy the 3s if they come out. biggrin.gif

All this talk of oly shoes is getting me intrigued. I see a few guys with the bright Volt romaleos at the gym, and one guy w/ a pair of white/black w/ red highlight adipowers.

Only colorway currently available for adipowers is the bright red/orange, so probably a different adidas model. I would rather have them in white or black, but they're still nice and would not have been worth waiting so long for a different color.

Doing 12g creatine loading daily to get back in the habit of taking it and for its benefits ASAP. How many days before I should go down to 5g? Never loaded before.
