I've never had much of a chest. Even now my shoulders fill out a suit jacket before my chest, and my lats make my chest measurement seem higher than it should be. Grass is always greener I suppose.

I'm the same way. I slipped 2x15 db fly's into my routine to help out with chest development. I don't know how it's gonna go but we'll see in the next month if I'm as consistent as I intend on being.

I'm doing the Wichita Falls version of starting strength, but I'm switching the alternations between bench and shoulder press up and have bench twice a week (Monday and Friday) and adding incline db press and flys after my regular 3 exercises on one of those days (most likely Friday).

Yea, I think we've been training seriously for the same amount of time. My training log started 12/07 last year. To be fair my maxes are USAPL judged so I had to squat to full depth, pause my bench, and not hitch on deadlift. I squat 250 x 12 though :P, my bench is 190lbs now, and deadlift is my best lift. I can't say my mediocre numbers are a result of inconsistency though, I don't think I missed a workout this whole year and if I did I always planned a deload so I could. I always tell people at the gym the only reason I even have mediocre numbers is because I bust my ass off, I'm not naturally strong at all and not even close to being an athlete. I have a small ass bone structure that wants to be a 130lbs weakling. From your pictures you seem to have a pretty thick and healthy shoulder girdle, so I'm not surprised your bench is good! I have narrow shoulders frown.gif working on it though

We're all gonna make it brah, i'm not trying to create a dick measuring context, just inciting discussion, since this is pretty much the only place I can talk shop. Wish I had friends who were into lifting in real life : (

I think I tore my LCL when I was a kid, which I didn't figure out even after visiting a knee specialist who told me jack shit. Nowadays I have to deal with pain when walking or standing for too long, gets worse in winter. Where it connects to my femur is a big huge, hard bump that feels like bone. Not sure if scar tissue or bone or what. Wish I could figure it out to get it resolved but I think it's just something I have to live with now.

I did something similar but with my nose, broke it when I was like 11 and just kept on playing. Not it's apparent that it's crooked, meh. Like you said, just something to live with now.

I hear ya. In the end though you will probably look like you lift 10x more than me :P.

You should try to meet some fellow bros IRL! Nothings better than lifting in a group then destroying some food while trying to out alpha each other.

I'm at 350, but I haven't actually squatted 2x5x350. Last time I squatted I managed 1x4x350.

EDIT: Just looked back at my last post, accidentally posted 245, should've read 345 smile.gif

First two workouts of the year are in the books for me. Legs on Thursday, chest/triceps tonight. Feels good to be back in the gym after over a week off around Christmas. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif Surprisingly--and thankfully--my gym seems to be largely free of the typical New Year's Resolutioner rush. Must not have had as good of a promo as the other gyms in town, ha. I'm back on creatine for the first time in almost a year as well. Should help minimize any potential strength loss while I cut to 180 over the next few months. What kind of supp's does everyone here take, if any?

Creatine, Multivitamin, Fish Oil, ZMA's and prescribed Vitamin D because apparently i'm deficient.

Might try BCAAs when I move onto my cut and do fasted training.

Staple bulks: creatine mono, beta alanine, citrulline malate, cissus, and ALCAR

Standards: fish oil, multi, protein

^ Good stuff, guys. My year-round standards are the same as yours, ellsbebc. I've always shied away from anything besides these + an occasional creatine cycle and some pre- or intra-workout mixes, but recently decided to go all out while I cut. In addition to the standards, my stack includes:

CLA
Caffeine
Green tea extract
Acetyl L-carnitine
L-carnitine
BCAAs
Glutamine
Casein protein

I'll drop all of these for a month after I reach my goal weight, then probably reintroduce BCAAs, glutamine, and casein for a while.

Can I get a form check please?

(Apologies for the dodgy vid quality, limited places to place my phone)
