I've been deloading this week. 50% squat @ 195lbs 5 x 5 felt heavy.. wow ..

Did you deload to lower than 50% in the first place, or is that just where you are at now?

Bah meant 60%. 325 Max. 400+ squat is my goal for my next meet. I have to find one first, I'll be traveling during a local one in March frown.gif

Nah, just took a week of a standard 5/3/1 deload of 60% on all my lifts. Then decided to do 5 x 5 with it.

Nah, just took a week of a standard 5/3/1 deload of 60% on all my lifts. Then decided to do 5 x 5 with it.

Ah gotcha, was thinking of doing a deload myself, but with a month left of bulk does not make sense, should have thought about it earlier

Looks like i'll end up between 210-215, started at 180 last February 2012, with a couple of indecisive bouts here and there. So pretty much put on 30-35lbs in my first year of lifting.

If after my cut I retain 18-20lbs of muscle i'll be happy for the time being.

At this point I think my body is so accustomed to being a fat fuck, that i'm experiencing diminishing returns on my gains, though I definitely AM still getting stronger, it's coming at a slower pace than even 2-3 months ago.

In hindsight, I definitely got ahead of myself on this bulk, and a lot of folks here advised me against that; but I did it anyway, and i'm glad I did to be honest. I could have been smarter and ate at a 500 surplus and done a very slow controlled bulk, but I don't think I would have learned half as much, nor would it be as much fun.

My goal weight is to get back down to 180ish, and see how I look. Going to be very interesting.

Also, call me a phaggot but I really miss having a defined face + jaw line haha, i'm almost more excited about that then the idea of potentially having a 6 pack or whatever.

Talking about 6 pack, first place I gained weight was my stomach, then face, have a feeling that the fat deposits everywhere else will go relatively quickly, but stomach and face will be stubborn as shit. It's weird cause my shoulders/chest/traps/forearms are still pretty lean, but stomach, ass and thighs are thick as fuck. Like looking at this picture you'd never think I was as fat as I am.

im going to have to now, sucks lifting with a phone in your pocket. amazon.ca charges megabux for it compared to .com, too bad id get screwed on the duty if i ordered it from freedomland.

ok, can someone more intelligent than myself please explain WTF is going on:

not lifting:
arm in full extension, try to grip something = pain
arm bent, try to grip something = no pain

while lifting:
arm in full extension, try to grip something = no pain
arm bent, try to grip something = pain

this is fucking confounding. used straps and did some deadlifts and shrugs etc this morning and after about 10 mins or so my forearm felt fine to grip something when my arm was fully extended. previously, this was not possible. front raises were also fine with light weights whereas a few weeks ago it would have caused serious pain. the flipside was that something that previously didn't bother me - merely holding my arm in a bent position - is now irritating. so now, 15 minutes after lifting, its reversed again - bent arm, grip something = fine, full extension, grip something = pain.

thank fuck i live in a socialist paradise where i only have to wait several more weeks for my ****free**** ultrasound to confirm fucking nothing and have my doctor tell me im fine. censored.gif
