I shoot for 200g knowing that I'll fall a little short most of the time. Anything above 160g and I'm ok.

Thanks for the points. I'll try them on my next squat session. Current point about 45. Will try and crank a bit more and see if I can get down.

The announcer says what sounds like 220 kilos, so yeah seems to be about 450+ pounds

WTF!?
How much is that?

My gym has a couple hundred-lb plates that are used for the leg press. I seriously might start stealing them for DLs after watching that.

Do you have a platform, would be a pain in the ass to load them on the bar?

My gym only has hex plates, and no dedicated platform or area to do deadlifts. It's the worst.

No platform...do have one of those bar-hoister-uppers tho. Hex plates are the fucking worst. Can't believe someone thought they were a good idea.

I wish we had at least that, I gotta prop my shit up on 2.5s to make it workable. I tried telling the manager that we should get some round plates for deadlifts, but then he went into a tangent about how he was a football player in college, and used to do a lot of deadlifts, and how he couldve gone pro... and that was that.

any comments on squarts? shitty angle, but evidently any use of a cellphone for video recording purposes gets your membership immediately cancelled or something.... i had to keep my socially unacceptable perverted violation of privacy somewhat discrete. 400 was a big fail, and im not really counting 385 as a pr since it was with hex plates which are liar plates... it was probably 365 in real weight. anyways

based on this i think i should start working in box squats or more paused squats. coming out of the hole is somewhat dicey as you can see on the 400 and 385.

then i was playing hockey later on and i was in the fuckin' zone robbing bitches until i started getting chest pains, my pulse jumped to like 2000 bpm and started blacking out/seeing stars. not sure if poorly conditioned or didn't hydrate enough.
