when you guys go on a cut with a large caloric deficit, how do you go about weight training? Do you stop lifting altogether, deload and only lift 75-80%, or lift the same and just not add weight?
I just lift the same, my strength gains (at east on a decent cut) are almost nonexistent. Lifting will help maintain that lbm that you've just worked your ass off to put on. Depending on the size of the deficit I'd then add in some conditioning work - kettlebells, bodyweight stuff, LISS, HIIT etc.

On my last cut I had one deload week per 4 wks of normal lifting, where I'd just lower the weights down to pretty puny amounts and do more reps, work on flexibility and stuff like that. I definitely felt that helped me get along better and avoiding at least some injuries.

Me too. Closest I ever got was 193 and I had a little more fat on me then I would like.

This spring I'm gonna cut volume + maintain poundage. So instead of 3 sets, just do 1. Just lookin to maintain + not grow; I think it will work.

- 2 waffles with syrup
- 2 Slices of Toast (buttered)
- 2 eggs (overeasy)
- 1 bowl of home fries (ketchup)
- Fortunately stuck to just drinking water since I don't like coffee all that much.

I was quite full and could barely walk to the office. It's a little past 1:30 here and I don't feel hungry at all (I usually eat at around 12:30). Should I just not eat dinner at all later?

Sounds like your diet is pure shit man. Get a book, read some websites, see a nutritionist, whatever works.

I still try to push as much as I can. I just eat a lot other things to trick my body think its full. Like now, I eat 3 pounds of tilapia per day plus the shakes/ eggs/ turkey bacon etc. only 2 slices of ezekiel bread per day and also a little bit of brown rice before work out.

watch out this friday.. I'm aiming for 13,000 calories. I always hit about 1-1.5k less than my goals.. so hopefully, I'll hit at least 11,500. but if I can squeeze in 13,000 I'd be ecstatic!

For the folks who drink green tea, what's an ideal amount to consume each day? I always see it mentioned in terms of cups, but I've got a lot of green tea bags, so I'm not sure what the "conversion rate" of that would be.

I would say use the amount of tea bags that cater to ur taste.

That's some good shit man. Nothin like loading up that bar. Was really surprised w/how good my form was too. How often do you DL?

I'm only at 285, but still getting my LP on... But I used hook grip and I must be doing it wrong because I think I pushed my thumbnail into my skin and it started to bleed. Which was actually pretty cool.

twice per cycle. I dl on my back days, but not so much weight. go heavy on my leg days since I don't squat anymore, try to involve as much quads and hammies as possible. But on back days, more reps to engage the lower back.
