That's kind of the idea behind lifting shoes, yea?

It is, but you'd be surprised at how many people complain about soles wearing down, etc., then it turns out they were too lazy to change in the gym and were wearing them outside.

i think about hip drive about halfway through the lift.

Completely replaced bent over barbell rows with Pendlay rows. Making all kinds of width and thickness gains. Highly highly highly recommend making the switch if you're struggling to put mass on your back.

I had a friend who came from Essex to London to see me once and we were going to lift together. Couldn't be fucked to bring 2 pairs of shoes so he wore his bright red and yellow dowins and walked from kings cross to tralfalgar square. Such ugly shoes to wear in public anyway.

Interview was fantastic, best one yet by far. Was supposed to be 15 minutes, went for 45. Interviewer really pushed me and asked me a lot of technical questions even some statistics stuff because I showed that I had knowledge. Got along with the guy really well, hopefully get an invite to an assessment centre soon.

My back and traps are thick and juicy as fuck. Unfortunately, years of compound lifts only have left me with relatively sticklike arms.

The flu fucking sucks. Lifted Sunday night, felt like I got hit by a bus; lifted Monday morning, felt like the bus was backing up and running over me repeatedly; Monday afternoon I went down hard. I've taken in maybe 1500 calories since then and have only just gotten my appetite back.

Good timing for a week off though, forearm pain is turning into elbow pain and its getting better with time off. I used to lol at Wendler-esque 3 weeks on/1 off cycles, but three consecutive days of no lifting - even while being sick and not eating - feels fucking awesome. Guess erryday squarts crushed my brain more than I thought it would... who'd have thought...

nah... yeah... nah, if i could get a shot of my back, you'd see I have really big rhomboids and traps. Like a frog. My friend calls me "t-rex arms".
