Had a good squat/DL session yesterday. Still trying to figure out if I like high bar or low bar more.

Deadlifts were smooth and fast, rep PR too icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

As a former fat kid I've never done a legit bulk. Do you guys eat at maintenance on rest days and only up your intake on days you're exercising?

Feels good to be back under 180 thumbs-up.gif Next stop 170, don't think I've seen the south side of that in since high school...

Doing a 5 mile road race Thanksgiving... heresy?

Wife made me do a 10K with her last Thanksgiving. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but still hate running.

I do this.

If you're gonna do it, make sure you eat an even bigger surplus on workout days than if you wouldn't calorie cycle.

For instance:

The typical weight gain during bulking is 1 pound a week, 3500 calorie surplus weekly.

If you don't calorie cycle, it's gonna be 500 cals surplus every day.

4 split, its gonna be 875 calories on workout days.

... 3 split .... 1170 calorie surplus.

The theory behind it is that you will utilize the increased surplus on workout days for building more muscle, while you don't need that surplus on rest days.

I don't really agree with this since a bigger surplus leads to more fat gain and you will recover better on your rest days if you are in a surplus those days. I only do this for the psychological reasons, such as having a huge meal to look forward to after training, plus I find it helps to keep my appetite up and not having to constantly shove in food every day.

Anyone here ever get laser hair removal? I'm starting to get neck hairs that almost always turn into sores when I shave and it's really annoying. Looks terrible if I don't shave em, they're like individual hairs all over the place.

Seriously.. it's simple as fuck.

Eat.

If you don't gain weight on that amount of food over the course of "x" days..

Eat more.

I didn't think the home ones worked to permanently remove hair?

And saw the best strength and mass gains in my life.

If you're busting your ass in the gym, you don't really need to worry about getting excessively fat, just a little fluffy. Then when you cut with more LBM than before, it'll be a piece of cake.
