Random health and exercise thoughts - Page 2433

Mine is free. Has five power racks, about ten barbells and lots of plates, but lacking on dumbbells. Also a nice nature trail/cross country course for cardio.

Wife pays 99/month at cross fit gym but she's getting more serious about power lifting classes than the cross fit work outs.

Also +1 for Evernote.

Awesome, got invited to train at a place with a tendo unit now that I'm doing "speed" days.

Mac's looking more vascular this season

Too bad his cast mates were hating on those gainz

From Wikipedia
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
In preparation for season seven of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, McElhenney put on 50 pounds of extra weight and let his beard grow out to give extra humor to Mac, and to add a new comedic direction for the new season. McElhenney's co-star Charlie Day described the weight gain as "disgusting" and that it had the rest of the cast "a little on the fence about it for his own personal health and safety." McElhenney subsequently lost 23 pounds in a month after the season was finished filming.[7][8] He lost more later in the year to film the next season.

Was feeling kind of off all day, got home and i'm aching all over, got a fever. This fucking sucks. Feels like my head is tied to the front of a runaway train.

Goodbye any and all gains till I recover.

Best course of action? I usually fuck with hot tea, with lemon and sugar, drink a lot of water/gatorade and take vitamic C supplements.

^ Hi MarkI, FWIW I have been intentionally avoiding this thread because it gets me depressed when I catch up on posts and I can never make the same gains as people here. As much as I get inspired by the results I read here, I find myself at a happier place mentally when at the gym without losing hope and getting frustrated. My weight has dipped down a little, not a solid 160 lb but fluctuates between here and 155.

My body has been injury prone as of late as well with a really bad right elbow tendinitis. Last week my left lat was giving me pain down my back but luckily it was a result of overworking during back day (still trying to get the form down for pendlay rows).

Recent news is that I have been reworking my form as I realized and was told that perhaps it is really poor, which is why I maybe hurting my body and/or plateauing. I lock elbows and arch my [lower] back when not necessary when benching and squatting, respectively. Only thing good is still the deadlifts. Have not benched in a month or more with the barbell, again due to the right elbow so using machines and dumbbells. Have been considering an elbow wrap but have been stubborn. I think someone told me to take some time off since the last time I mentioned it, and I never did.

Almost puked last night hehe. Brother is also squatting singles for 315 @ 185 +/- lb with near perfect form from what I can tell. I'm in awe since we both started lifting squat/DL around the same time.

thanks for asking btw. I hope everyone is on top of their game, and TKJTG, Coldsnap, and Charly's meets went well.

This.
The gym I'm gonna join when I get home costs 120 bucks per year. It might not be the fanciest gym but some of Swedens strongest olympic lifters and powerlifters are regulars.
