Did some squats and deadlifts yesterday. It went well but I still have work to do. My knees are not going too forward as before but bar path need work Will see what I can change to fix it up:

Squats: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Deadlifts (man, I didn't do any conv. deadlift for the past 2-3 months, I'm a little bit rusty): Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

When will any of you oly lifters post vids?

When you completely let all of your body's tension go on every rep it's more like 6 sets of 1 instead of 1 set of 6.

I'm no expert, for the big DL'ers in this thread, do you kiss & go on all your sets or do any of you do what virus is doing here?

I do that every rep, touch & go almost always leads to cheating or bad form. Then again wtf do I know

How strong are you? Icecreamfitness 5x5 mentioned on previous pages worked well for me.

speaking of form check: critique my deadlift form (245x5) plz? Starts at 29 seconds (idk why but it put my squats video on the front end of the video)

at the end there i get yelled at for slamming my weights :X

''6 sets of 1'' is what I'm going for! I don't like bounce and go + use the momentum as those reps don't ''teach'' me how to properly tighten up for a 1 RM max. I want each rep to be reseted as it was my first repetition of the set. Obviously fatigue comes into play after a while but I like it that way.

Nothing wrong with bounce and go though imo, to each his own.

I reset on every rep or else you end up bouncing or starting from a sub-optimal position.

On a related note, yesterday the resident OL in our gym decided he was going to drop the fucking bar at the top of every rep of his deadlift.

Thing is, he was only doing 2 plates. And considering they weren't bumper plates, it was annoying as fuck.

Does anyone else try to keep their feet straight and torque them out while squatting according to Supple Leopard? Think it's causing some hip impingement.

I don't keep them totally straight, probably more like 20 degrees out, but my knees do track outside my toes at the bottom. Haven't noticed any issues from it. How wide is your stance?

Not very strong at all, coming off a shoulder injury, I got my bench back to around 225 and dl just north of 300, squats lag around 275. Going to be starting up Jiu Jitsu again twice and week and it's going to limit my weight lifting down to three times a week.
