switch to +5 when you can't do +10 per week

I don't doubt the judging thing at all. From what I hear from guys that have transitioned to either sport from the other it's agreed that your warm-up in weightlifting is a pretty crucial time. Especially in the snatch.. if you can't get that feeling and hit those positions the platform will be a harsh place to be. Maybe in PL you can power through your opener if shit is hitting the fan in the warmup but I think it's tougher in weightlifting. As you once noted, the snatch is a fickle bitch of a lift.

Anyone have a suggestion for flat shoes that feels ''solid and tight'' like oly shoes? I've been testing some shit to improve my squat and it seems that my oly shoes makes me tip way too forward. May have to go back to chucks but from my experience, they don't feel as solid on the ground as my oly shoes. Dunno, may be in my head but the oly shoes definitively made me feel I was cemented to the ground.
EDIT: Flat or lower heel.

Adidas Sambas is what I hear some guys use and seem to be okay.. always hated lifting in chucks for some reason, maybe I'm conditioned to weightlifting shoes now.

I got up to 315 with 10s, but then stalled at 320. Probably should have switched to 5s after 285, which is when I had to really fight for the last rep.

From my experience, I wouldn't wait until you actually miss reps to switch. I would switch when you think you might miss reps the next workout. Better to be conservative than stall early and have to reset.

What apps are you guys using on your phones for lifting/dieting stuff?

I use MFP which has an awesome database but falls short IMO for people actually into fitness, like for example you can't set a target macro count or choose what MFP tracks for you up front. Its workout tracking sucks ass, too.

I always thought it'd be cool to have an app that was good at diet tracking but also had a built in spreadsheet tool for tracking lifts and graphing progress.

You guys know of anything like that?

You can set target macros on MFP

How? On the website? You can only set weight, exercise and net cals goals on the app.

Ugh been mostly absent from the gym for the past 2 months. Lost a few weeks due to illness (wisdom teeth removal, sinus issues), now swamped with school. Don't consider myself a gym or fitness nut but I always like going in a few times a week for the little sense of accomplishment. Hopefully I can make it in on Wednesday and/or Friday.

I only use the website, so I guess that's a yes.

^^^That sucks. I've been lucky in not having shit get in the way. But I have been putting shit off too. I should get my tonsils & wisdom teeth out for example.

Yo PL bros... my right front shoulder has been bothering me since I started doing PL bench. Part of it was too much weight but it might be form too. I haven't looked at my bar path on a video but could I be holding the bar too far forward? What are people doing to warm up on bench days?

Fitocracy is still broken on my iPhone 4S. Anyone have other suggestions for tracking?

+ Shoulder dislocations. That and supersetting warm-up sets with face pulls or more band pullaparts

I'm basically the bizarro world Johnny Bravo. I need to focus on rounding myself out... not just for looks, but just to be a more balanced lifter/athlete.

My shoulders are on fire after that band series. Maybe I just need to do it more, but doesn't feel like a warm up to me biggrin.gif Lately I've just done warm up sets and some shoulder lacrosse ball rolling to warm up. Had a pain in my pec for a bit, but changing my grip just a bit seems to have fixed that.

The 2.0.1 build is fairly stable. If you uninstall whatever you have and reinstall 2.0.1, should be fine.
