Random health and exercise thoughts - Page 2385

As far as ab work, I have a bit of an unconventional approach to it.

I do all my exercises without a belt -- this is my "primary" ab work. Heavy squats and deads without a belt works your core quite nicely
I make a lot of my assistance work for other exercises work my abs. For example, I hold my body stationary during plate raises which DESTROYS your abs
I do incline situps(not crunches) on leg day...there's a few reasons for this. 1. I have to do situps for the Army fitness test. 2. It works your upper quads. 3. It hits your abs pretty well
The only true ab isolation movement I do anymore is bicycle crunches on deadlift days. I do 3 sets of 20 at the end of the workout

Bench: 190 5x5, did manage 225x1 the last time I tried. I have not really tested maxes lately, just going for linear progression.

Deadlift: 315x1x5

Squat: 185x5x5 Still my absolutely worst lift, trying to fix it though.

Thinking of doing RFL for 4-6 weeks against the advice of pretty much everyone I've talked to. Just fucking sick of having a spare tire and not being able to fit in any decent clothes.

Eating so much food is really getting tiresome though, and i'm getting fat and losing definition everywhere. Cutting time can't come soon enough.

As long as the gains are strength/muscle and not fat. You might not need to eat so much.....

I'm around you guys too, all 5rms.  Squat is sorta fucked obviously due to injury:

bench: 185

press: 105

squat: 180

deadlift: 235

Everyone's bench is shockingly close to their squat lol8[1].gif

I tried out some 1RM squats today. Put up 225 for a couple singles, but 240 buried me on the pins.

Probably not, but at this point I don't even really care. I just shove my face everyday and i'm seeing great strength and muscle gains. This is my first year of lifting, my first bulk, i'm not going to tip toe around all these noob gains. Balls to the wall until March, then i'm going on a heavy cut, then i'm going to just maintain or slow bulk.

Cut with me brah. Haven't lost strength yet, if anything, still gaining ever so slowly.

That's an awesome chart, is it from an app or you made it yourself?

It's not so much about the strength for me, that is secondary. Ultimately I want to sit around 8-10% BF at 190. What is the point of cutting right now? I'm not going to have any aesthetics whatsoever. I'm willing to look bloated for the winter months if for the rest of my life I look the way I want to look.
