Tried to get through 1.5lbs of chicken breast in one sitting today. Started gagging around 18oz in, tapped out at 21oz. So close

Don't you know your body can only absorb 5g of protein at a time?

All homo, please.

I hate bulking and feeling like a fat fuck when I'm not. But I am at 225 lbs now and doing 3x3 295 lbs bench press, comfortably. I decided to just do a lower comfortable weight with squats and deads from now on.... I was getting a blocky midsection trying to going up in weight with the two. But I am at 385lbs deadlift and 315 lb squat. So, I kind of made it out of the bench press as much as I squat situation.

I would like to see my bottom position added to that comparison, from the squat video I posted a bit ago. I think I land in between charly and virus. I try to sit back a lot, wish I knew how to develop such strong hips like Charly has. I've been squatting with bands around my knees to use my hips/gltues more, Tmash taught me this and I can get up to about 225 with it.

I think as you progress with squats it's really easy to get tilted more and more forward and end up over developing your back and hams as opposed to quads and glutes. Might get to 500lbs that way, but past that maybe not!

Short femurs mean you don't have to sit back as much for the same depth. Even though charly is doing low bar, he still manages to stay relatively upright because his shorter femurs mean his knees don't need to come as far forward and his hips don't need to shoot back as much as someone with long femurs.

put 3 pencils together and change the lengths around and you'll see what I mean.

Yeah, this all correct. At 6'3 with long femurs and short torso, I have to sit waaaay back to mimmick Charlys form. You can see it in the form check I uploaded a while back. Keeping my chins vertical is no problem; it's just a matter of a wide enough stance and opeining up the hips a lot, shoving the knees way out when you initiate the squat. Like Hendrix say, the problem for someone with my build is that you can't keep an upright torso with that technique if you're doing low bar.

Eventually I found that my low back took over the movement too much with that form and that I didn't utilize my quads enough. I've begin to sit a bit more straight down with more upright torso and not as extreme wide stance and it felt a bit better. Still a legit low bar sitting back but with more forward knee travel. I think I'd be right between Charly and Coldsnap in those frames.

Yeah...I've sort of decided to not really push going up on the weight on squats and deadlifts. I am such an easy gainer in quads and a slow gainer in chest/delts that I fear becoming disproportionate. I also get fridge-y on bulks. I think I'm okay with my squat/deadlift #s for the time being and will instead try and add detail rather than mass/strength.

Super happy with my strength progress so far. DL's making the best progress, hoping I can hit 405 at 135 in the near future.

Charly is gonna be shredded on meet day, meanwhile I'll look like I was prepping for a pie eating contest on meet day
