I have two questions about bench grip

1, seems like a stupid question and maybe it is, but are there any tricks to keeping a straight wrist? I had to take time off because I have a weird wrist sprain which I think is from holding the bar too far from the base of my wrist, which bends my hand back and stretches out all my gripping tendons

2, how long is it safe to wear wrist wraps? When I do power bench I rest for like 4-5 minutes. But when I do hyper bench I rest for like 90 seconds. Thats not enough time for me to unwrap and rewrap. Whole thing will prob be about 5-6 minutes. Would it be safe to keep my wraps on that whole time, or will my hands turn blue and fall off?

Did heavy tripples last night in squats and my left glute does hurt too. Going to roll/mob this shit out and it should feel fine.

1, seems like a stupid question and maybe it is, but are there any tricks to keeping a straight wrist? I will def do some wrist flexion training, but I feel like I am holding the bar too far out into my fingers instead of in my palms and as close to my forearms as possible. Is that a thing?

O... bonus question. Any Android apps that will let me set a repeat or string of timers? I.e. on my hyper days I would want my timer to go off maybe every 2 and a half minutes. Or, I would like to program the timers for a whole workout in, and just have the clock go and not have to worry about it.

1. No tricks except grip the bar as hard as you can. I prefer bending my wrists back a bit. But straight wrist technique is fine too.

2. Depends how tightly they're wrapped. If they're anywhere near moderately tight, you will have to wrap/unwrap.

If your wraps are tight enough your hand should be turning blue during the set already. I take mine off right away, shit hurts.

90 seconds is not long enough to unwrap/wrap? Dear god, do you have 12 feet wrist wraps?

It was definitely technique related, but even aside from that, I had 18" wraps which were too short. If I got the wrap just perfect they would provide just enough support. I have the 36" ones now, and I get them nice and tight on the first try most of the time now... plus they are way more supportive. I def need to work on my wrists but I don't want to be missing out on gains in the interim.

3 weeks until I attempt to hit my first 400 paused bench and 600+ deadlift.

2 weeks until I attempt my first 600 squat.

Exciting times.

I believe I have 18', I can see 36 being longer to put on. Should improve with time and practice though.

I've done both and the difference is like 2 seconds.. negligible.

I remember the first time I hit my first 315 on squat/deadlifts and first time I hit 225 on bench. Such a nice feeling.

3 plate squat felt amazing, 2 plate bench and 3 plate deadlift are coming up for me. Almost all my goals are in terms of plates, xBW or hundreds.

Mine's all in hundreds.

I think 500 bench, 700 squat, and 700 deadlift will be very big milestones for me.

Need some RHET help

My AD (also head football coach) approached me about helping him implement BFS since he has a lot of dyel kids. I'm not familiar with the program but looks similar to 3/5/1. Anyone have any experience?

I really just want to tell him almost any program will show results since high schoolers will have newb gains and save his money. However, he's worried about "non adaptive" programs that won't transition to over sports, and BFS claims to have programs for different sports both in and out of season. We have a lot of two and three season athletes. Again, I just want to tell him that if kids aren't lifting because they are playing baseball/soccer/track, then no program will work.
