Hammer curls, farmers walks, and reverse curls especially give me the ill forearm bump

How come no one talks about shrugs? Main lifts should compensate for the muscle? I got a long neck and need some next level traps

Then do shrugs. I just added them as one of my accessory lifts as part of the ICF 5x5 routine. What new routine have you settled on? What's your diet like now?

I'm at innout waiting for my double double x2 with fries (with buns)

My routine is what I listed previously. Doing oly bench now and find more comfortable. I'll be honest aside from the squat and DL I do same day all the other gym days r rather boring lol . I need to get my strength back and crank up the weight

I feel like I see a lot of guys with over developed traps

yeah, especially compared to delts.

it's something to focus on when you're a bit bigger IMO. I wouldn't worry about it for now if you're doing deadlifts, heavy shoulder presses and rows.

wtf is an oly bench
I meant with strict form, elbows closer to the body, arch back with your feet pushing you forward.

I was talking about it with my bro and another regular at the gym Wednesday. It is because most guys you see at the gym flare their elbows in a neutral position when benching. My bro brought it up because he wrecked his left shoulder before so I told him about the "olympic bench."

I have to move back down to 135 lb to get the form right and use to it but I feel it hitting my chest a lot more compared to the neutral position where you can have a tendency to push up with your shoulder a little.

BTW, I dropped like 5 lb for some reason but for the most part my strength is the same. Not sure what to make of it. Going to just continue eating and lifting till next spring before I run and do a bunch of cutting regimen.

Regarding rows, anyone got a good vid for bent over rows? I see guys stand at an angle, some guys parallel to the ground, etc.

I think you mean powerlifting bench.

re: rows, there's numerous ways to do them but I prefer Pendlay rows. heaps of vids on youtube if you search that.

I don't get the correlation, that's how I bench. Welcome to benching with your back, tricep, and front delt.

Someone at your level should be doing Pendlay rows. Do a shit ton of other rows too.

edit: wow Max has put on some serious upper body mass since these days.

I like Yates rows, really feel it in my lats. Surprisingly pretty strong with it too, feels pretty boss rowing with a plate on each side.
good looking out. will try that.

funny enough that vid holds pretty true. only seen 2 guys do pendlay row at the gym and they r on the upper percentile in terms of fitness and str

Yea, it's a good way to develop your whole back and if you're benching like that now it's pretty much the same movement as your bench.

No such thing as any only bench, bench press has never been an Olympic event.
