Charly - what're your rest periods like between those sets?
so im pretty sure those iron grip hex plates weigh far less than what they're supposed to. did some squats this morning and could only manage 295x1 at home with my york plates + bar. went to the gym tonight with a buddy and knocked out 295x5,5 with their stuff.

I have been contemplating bringing my home scale to the gym for years. My new gym has those Iron Grip hex joints too, my last one didn't. I'm def curious to see what my plate based lifts look like. On the flip side though, I am pretty sure the Iron Grip dumbbells are true weights, and my old gym's rubber POSs were not. I was absolutely tossing around 95lb DBs on flat bench like nothing; I get the feeling I am in for a rude awakening today.

In between warmups, just enough time to catch my breath and sit down for a sec, neither rushed or lolligagging.. maybe like 2 minutes between sets.

Once I got to my working sets (545x5, 545x4), about 5 minutes between those.

Just take a plate into the locker room.

I feel like those scales are shit. Plus bringing my scale would let me measure way more stuff quickly.

Some tips that may help those that sumo deadlift:

It makes me uncomfortable knowing the weight i'm lifting may not actually be the weight i'm lifting.

Way to make a man paranoid.

yeah seriously. i weighed my plates at home and my 45's clocked in at 44.5, 44, 46, and 46.5. i wouldnt be surprised if the iron grip ones were 40-42 each; no way i should be banging out 2x5 what i could only manage a single for at home.

I'm fairly sure it's known that most the plates at Globo gyms way less than stated, it's a marketing thing.

Where is the doc to upload lifts brahs?
Well there's the one I made, which I believe isn't user friendly enough and doesn't allow for as much info as people wanted.... or there's the one jarude made some time earlier this week nest.gif

It shouldn't matter if you are lifting at the same place typically, as long as you are adding objects to the bar you are getting stronger. The only thing it would adversely affect is posting the numbers on the internet for us e-bros really if you think about it.
