This is a really jaded worldview.  She also didn't do anything wrong, considering they were never dating or had any mention of exclusivity as far as i can tell

She did the fade away instead of being upfront. That is wrong.

Path of least resistance.

Yep. What gets me is that people(men and women) do the fade away and then act all surprised when the other person starts clinging on. It gets ugly quick with a lot of name calling and hurt feelings.

dude everyone pulls the fade. that's just the way it is. no hate on girls just trying to get theirs. if they're clinging then you say something but usually the fade sends the message. sack up and move on

speaking of girl shit, i'm officially over this chick i've been hung up on for like 7+ years--we banged when i was a freshman in college and she was a prospective student. she's the best lay i've ever had and we had a lot of fun times (including one threesome that turned into her dating the other chick lol).

One vice we both had was that we liked leading each other on for the attention when we were in relationships (which was for a lot of the time we've known each other) so we never really fell off each others' radar. I think the last time we banged was like 2010 before I got into my last relationship which should say something.

anyway, I went to her birthday/welcome back to nyc on sunday and she basically ignored me. i tried to hit her up to hook up because i figure she's single again (was in a relationship before her trip) and no dice, which broke the spell as it were. unfollowed her on ig, hid her posts on fb, deleted her number from my phone.

before i deleted her number tho I texted her that I thought one of her friends who gave me her number was hot but i forgot her name (turns out she gave me a fake # tho, which, whatever, was sorta outta my league haha). I've already got plans to fuck another one of her friends who is super thirsty for the D and lives 8 blocks from me.

I did the fade to an emotionally abusive ex and regret it for the sole reason of wishing I had instead told her to get fucked in no uncertain terms.

Nope. Someone else hit it better.

Lose the ego. It will serve you no purpose.

Trust me on that.

Have done the fade before and felt like a total piece of shit afterwards. Will never do it again.

important to remember. a lot of this shit is circumstantial/personal. you might think she's perfect for you but she might see you the way you see the italian cougar.

our difference in taste regarding the thickness of women is a perfect example.

but yeah, lose the ego. and let's go out and bang sluts sometime.

What's the fade?
when you "get too busy" to hang with someone you're seeing in a romantic/sexual capacity.

it's basically a way of telling someone you're not interested in anymore without telling them.

it's fine for more casual things. if it's more serious though it's kinda douchey.

If she was straight up you would call her cruel for not sparing your emotions.

It was shitty that she kept getting free meals from dude. But at least he got some ass out of the deal. The exchange is somewhat balanced.

sex balances sex IMO, but you don't offer meals as an exchange anyway so it's just bitching and moaning really.
